Sadly, I have to agree with Ubuysa here. What Trump is selling is very close to the real American dream - a superior country, a chosen people, a manifest destiny... Plus, they have a weird, Hollywood-fuelled fetish for a 50's/60's wonderland of endless growth and progress. There's little consideration given to people who fared less well at that time (anyone not white, straight, male and middle-class) in the media, so even those groups today are distant enough in time to want to go back to the utopia.
