Processor upgrade for Windows 11 advice

With the demise of Win10 looming, I'm being nudged towards Win11. The upgrade healthcheck tells me that my processor (AMD Ryzen 5 2400G) is not up to the job. Is there a pin for pin plug in and go replacement that you could recommend or is my PC on a slow march to the junkyard. See attached file for current spec of processor, board and memory.

That motherboard (with the latest BIOS) supposedly supports up to Zen3/AM4 (i.e. 5xxx) CPUs. I'm assuming you're not after blazing video rendering performance, so a 5950X is not on your radar...something more like the 5600G (assuming you haven't added a discrete GPU in your build).

If you go to your order page, click on the order, you should see an 'upgrade this order' button near the bottom of the page. This will show the possibly upgrades for your build.

Don't forget to enable fTPM in the BIOS to get past the TPM requirement also.

But there may be more you want/need to upgrade to make W11 run at its best...

You may also want to upgrade to 16GB of RAM (an additional 8GB stick).

The other watch-out will be the wifi card, as it's very old and the W11 drivers are flaky/non-existent...so you may want to budget for a new Intel AX210 wifi card.

I know it sounds like I'm just trying to spend your money, but if you haven't already put an m2. SSD into that build as a boot/apps drive, then you may find it will make it feel like a new machine.
