Hi there,

Today I received my Optimus V2. I'm very happy with it; perfect design, beautiful display. BUT I got problems with my build in Samsung 850 EVO SSD. When writing/reading it justs randomly stops for a few seconds (differs from 3-10 seconds), then continues. I installed all the drivers.. Everything seems to work fine except the SSD. Please, can anyone help me out?

Make sure you have the power management settings configured so that the SSD never switches off.

Already did that. Settings are ok. Also set the OS optimization on Maximum performance with Samsung Magician.

Open the Resource Monitor and watch the disk usage in there to see what's going on.

This was during the installation of Microsoft Visual Studio. Total install time: +- 5-10 minutes. The SSD keeps spiking. It works (short), then it stops for a moment, then it works (short), then it stops.. and so on.

Please help me guys, this is my first experience with a SSD disk and it's not a good one =(

That's the Task Manager display. Open the Resource Monitor, Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Resource Monitor. It will give you much more detailed info about what is using the disk. Attached is my SSD in Resource Monitor as an example. You can click on the headings too to sort by that column. Click on Total to get the most active files at the top.

Thank you for your reply. Tomorrow I will monitor it with writing some big files and I will post the results in this topic.

Just found out another problem with the Optimus V2. I can hear the fan spinning, its making a rattling sound. Is this normal guys? My first experience with UKSpecialist is not very good at the moment =(
