Possible liquid cooler upgrade or not needed?

Hi guys and gals, recently received my pc from pc specialist and was just wondering what people's general opinion was on the Corsair h115i pro (not platinum) the reason I ask is because there's a bit of confusion on what's the better option for cooling the pro or platinum also the rgb on the platinum is tempting.
My pc specs are follows:

COOLERMASTER MASTERCASE H500M GAMING CASE
Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™ i7 Eight Core Processor i7-9700K (3.6GHz) 12MB Cache
Motherboard ASUS® ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING
Memory (RAM) 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2666MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card 11GB ASUS ROG STRIX GEFORCE RTX 2080 Ti - HDMI, DP
1st Storage Drive 500GB Samsung 860 EVO 2.5" SSD, SATA 6Gb/s (upto 550MB/sR | 520MB/sW)
2nd Storage Drive 2TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA PRO 3.5", 7200 RPM 128MB CACHE
1st M.2 SSD Drive 500GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 3500MB/R, 3200MB/W)
Power Supply CORSAIR 850W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
Processor Cooling Corsair H115i PRO Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler
Operating System Genuine Windows 10 Home 64 Bit

The question is though HWINFO is showing a ruff 65c when running metro exodus on everything tuned to full is than acceptable temp or should I consider upgrading my liquid cooler? Please note no oc is on just the boost on the CPU
Many thanks

Platinum is the better cooler as it has the new cooling plate from Cool-It.

However, the H115i pro is a monster cooler. Seriously high end. It'll handle the 9700k no sweat at all. The 65° temps show that in spades.

Thanks for the info much appreciated 🙂.
Out of interest you wouldn't know if I was to upgrade just for the pure fact it has full rgb on the pump and the fans. Will the mounting bracket be the same as the 115i pro ? So then it would just be a case of swapping some cables and the unit itself. The Reason I ask is because I hate cables its the single reason I bought pre built all the rest is easy to me. It would save the trouble of removing the motherboard ,gpu ect ...
Many thanks

The Pro still has RGB (albeit solid colour only) and you can swap out the fans for RGB ones if you really want. Surely that would be cheaper since the performance would be almost identical.

With RGB fans, they would have an extra table each for the lighting. The Corsair ones normally come with an RGB controller that you hide in the case tray behind the motherboard and route the cables to that.

As in the motherboard mount? It's the same, it's defined by the motherboard socket rather than the cooler. It uses step offs too, which would come with the kit.

IIRC it all connects to a USB header on the motherboard along with the fan header and one SATA power connector. Everything else connects via the pump.

.....since the performance would be almost identical.

While agree it will make no odds with this build, the performance is quite a bit better.

I didn't realize that you could change the fans to rgb as it though the pump needed to have an extra controller? Or I may be taking rubbish there , but solid colour is fine could you recommend any fans that are good ? Or will any rgb Corsair fans do? .
Will upload a picture of the build and you can see why I want rgb because it's a blank spot through the glass on this case.
Many thanks

Ahh I see so more or less just plug and play and reapply thermal paste sounds simple enough , but as JERPERS just said a simple fan swap might work fine
but I understand your point about performance as it would probably future proof the machine.
Many thanks

Not sure about the fan swap. Never fitted RGB fans, assumed a controller would be required.

I got a triple pack of LL fans for my build I am currently working on. They came with a lightning node to allow all to connect up via internal USB so they can be controlled within the iCue software

I bought 3 x magnetic lev corsair fans which came as a kit with a lightning node also, you can often find them on really impressive deals.

Superb fans, both visually and performance wise, they're whisper quiet.

Cheers for all the info 🙂 , I think I will just save and get the h115i platinum at some point hopefully it will be a good investment with an upgraded pump I know temps will probably be only a couple lower but who knows it may perform better in the future , I mean one good thing about the h115i pro is its whisper quiet , plus I'll have a spare water cooler 🙂.
Again a massive thanks to
