Portable Small Form Factor Gaming PC

Hey guys!

So I've recently received news that I have to re-locate where I work. I am going to have to drive to one side of the country for a week and then back again for the weekends. I'm not happy about it

Now, I want to bring my PC with me, because otherwise I'm not getting any use out of it, and I just bought it! I am only pondering on the idea of sending my PC back to PCS as it's still under 28 days. I would plan to get another rebuilt into a small form factor gaming PC so I can put it in the back of my car when I drive down.

Below is my current build that I received only last week and in red is what I would plan to change:

(I'm going to ask if I can keep the SEAGATE FIRECUDA M.2 drives in the build but I doubt they will allow that as it isn't in the configurator)

So I basically need to decide whether I keep a PC I can only use 2 days out of the week, or go through the admin of building a new one I can take around with me. There is no chance im going to go through the effort of lugging around my mid-tower with me as I will break it.

Cooling on this case is apparently very good. My current NZXT case is pretty terrible for air-flow so it could even be an upgrade!

Guys, please let me know if you think this is a terrible idea! This is the closest I think I can get to my previous build, whilst in a small form factor. If you think it could work, but you think I should change a few things, please please let me know!

Things that are niggling me is the AIO cooler as thats the best I can get. Bit of a downgrade from the H115i Platinum.

Eeeeeesh. Firstly, very sorry to hear your new work situation isn't ideal. Hope that's not a permanent thing.

To be honest, I'm dubious about the rebuild into a small form system. You've got a pretty luxury build there and I just can't see it performing to it's best in such a cramped environment, it's surely going to be throttled. And if it's going in the back of the car twice a week over long distances I can imagine all those expensive components being rattled around by vibrations and coming loose... it just doesn't sound conducive to a happy, healthy system.

Thanks for the feedback. The rattling was a concern of mine so its good to have that question answered. I didn't think this would work in the first place but I thought it was worth considering!

You must be gutted, only two days a week with that beast! Hopefully your work situation will be a temporary thing and you can game in style before long.

In the interim, I dunno... Nintendo Switch?
