I should have probably posted this before actually going ahead with the purchase but hey, I was excited, what can I say?

I just wanted some of you experienced folk to check this out and see If I have made some glaring configuration issues? i.e the CPU is not up to scratch with the GPU etc. that kind of thing.

I am a web developer, and spend most of my time in visual studio, or SQL server management studio, which in and of themselves don't present huge performance issues, but I could be running multiple VS instances with local servers, maybe RDP, and console apps all at the same time. I figure that this build would handle them all fine, but I don't know enough about hardware (I picked the motherboard because I liked the back IO panel and the website didn't flag a spec mismatch...) to identify potential bottlenecks in this setup. I'm not a hardcore PC gamer, mainly Playstation (sorry guys), but it could be used for WOW, Sims 4, Cities Skylines, that sort of thing.

Thanks for any of your thoughts :)

It wasn't a bad effort mate I've just optimised it a little, how flexible is your budget because there is also a lot of improve on this build but I've done what I can to keep costs down without sacrificing too much

If I had to change one thing below to increase the budget I'd go with a minimum 750W RMx PSU instead of this one though

Storage could also use work but that easily changed at a later and isn't too costly

Its interesting that you have changed the GPU, I was torn between the 2060 and the 1660 Ti but all the research I did suggested that the 2060 may just tip the scale over the 1660 Ti.

What would be the benefit of having a more powerful power supply be if the current one can cope with the requirements of the system? Is it just for ease of upgrade later down the line?

2060 is absolutely better but I'm penny pinching here

The better PSU ensures longevity and room for upgrades, we build for what we might need in 5 years time not what we need now
