Enthusiast
Hi,
This is my PCS build and the full spec is below.
When I turn on my Windows 10 machine, before it boots to the TUF Gaming splash screen and allows me to login to my desktop, the error: "Please enter setup to recover BIOS setting" was shown.
When I enter the BIOS, the settings are reset to 'default' and both the date and time is incorrect. When I change the date/time and the settings to what they should be, I save to them using F10. The machine then restarts and boots normally to Windows 10.
My machine is 4 years old and I have changed the CMOS battery. This worked once when the machine was turned off by shutting the machine down, and flicking the power supply rocker switch, the BIOS settings that had been saved and battery did work. But since I have turned the machine back on the same error message is shown at boot.
The CR2032 battery brand that I had purchased as a replacement is the Duracell CR2032 4-pack.
If this is the CMOS backup battery, which brand would be a good choice to buy? I have also looked at Energizer and Varta.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, please.
Thank you.
