I'd describe it as not bad, but not optimal. What monitor will you be pairing with it? The build comes to £1800ish -- is that the budget?

Thanks for your reply, I have very little knowledge about p.c’s but my sons ( autistic) is obsessed about fps🤷🏻‍♀️. The screen we’ve bought him is SAMSUNG Odyssey G5 LS27AG550EUXXU Quad HD 27". And our budget is around £1700 ish 😀

A very decent monitor. I'm autistic too, so I know all about fixations!

There are essentially three options here, and there's no clear "best" option:

• AMD 5000 series. This is the last generation. It is now amazing value and still strong, though it may diminish the lifespan of the PC slightly. There would be minimal upgrade opportunities in the life of the PC, though the graphics card could certainly still be upgraded. My recommended build would come to a hair under £1800; you could get it down further to somewhere like £1500 if you were less worried about bells and whistles!
• Intel 13th gen. This is Intel's current gen and is a decent step ahead of Ryzen 5000. It will also have no upgrade path. Its cost would be around £100 more than the AMD 5000 option.
• AMD 7000 series. This is the current generation, very new, and around the same performance as Intel 13th gen. It has a decent upgrade path. I make its cost around £1900.

All options are compromises, either in (mild) performance differences, upgrade paths, or price. I'll post a sort of middle-ground AMD 5000 option in a second, but I can post either of the others if you're interested in those too!

That would be a build a bit like this one. It's not everything I'd want (I'd prefer faster storage and a 1000W power supply) but it's absolutely adequate and will take lots of upgrades over its lifetime if you choose that route.
