Please check my Specs

This is my PC and was looking for any opinions and or feedback/criticism on anything about my build? Are my specs ok and does this look like a good pc.

We currently highly recommend AMD builds for 99% of builds. Intel currently has many issues causing it to lag behind AMD such as security issues that they've known about for quite a while, lack of Gen 4 NVME M.2 support and hotter running CPU's requiring more beefy cooling solutions, just to name a few. Here's a thread with some more info I'd recommend a listen of

Also before we give any advice we'll need some basic info. 1) What's your budget/ max you're willing to spend? 2) What will it be used for? If it's gaming, what games would you like to play? if it's for work, are there any specialist programs you need to run? 3) What monitor is it hooked up to? (either make and model or resolution AND refresh rate) That 3080 will be pointless if it's being hooked up to a 1080p 60hz display. Once we have that info we can start to suggest changes/ builds for you!

Fantastic thanks!

Also, considering your PC is a custom watercool loop, I thought I'd let you know that they require a lot more maintence than a standard air cooled PC. Have you previously had experince with one and are you aware of this? PCS does offer a service to 'service' the loop- I can't remember specifics but it seem to remember it being pretty good value (£150 from memory). Are you happy to take on the added care that comes with owning a watercooled PC?

Godlike
£400 for a 1440p 240hz display, that seems amazing!

Liquid builds are somewhat of a gimmick; for gaming an AIO will be ample, even at this level.
Have you ordered it already? If you haven't ordered yet I would probably recommend sticking with a standard AMD build, with over £3k for the budget we can go full on and get you a monster of a build.

Totally agree with this, open loop watercoolers are a thing of the past, they're largely redundant these days outside of some rendering station / scientific workstation uses where CPU and GPU are throttled continuously over several days.

AIO have made them redundant, they're very expensive for no performance gains plus take expensive maintenance and are prone to leaks.

Not a worthwhile investment imho.

Going almost all out on a Gaming AMD build and I'm still £500 off! This will be an absolute beast of a machine.

The Lian Li case isn't available for the standard PC lines so I've gone for a 5000D SE. The panels on this are very tinted so if you'd like to see the inside, I'd recommend a 465X or 680X as they don't have tinted side panels.

I have to agree i really would not go for a custom water cooled loop it looks flashy and impressive but the amount of hassle involved I mean practical things like just moving rig to a new house maintenance the fear of leakage after transport the cost of it compared to a aio cooler would rather spend the money on the base build :)

@Trackmister - I’ve merged your most recent post with the thread you opened a while ago as you didn’t respond to the people who had a look at your spec.

If you’re set on a liquid series because you love the aesthetic, that’s absolutely fine. We just generally don’t recommend them for a standard gaming system as an AIO cooler will do the job and not have some of the pitfalls a liquid series build can. It’s also cheaper! 🙂

Let us know your thoughts and we can advise appropriately 👍

As others have said, that system is not good value for money. Do you definitely, absolutely, 100% want the custom watercooled system? It will have no advantages other than aesthetic ones. If that's what you really want, I'm sure advice can be offered, but you can spend the money on things that actually affect performance...

By way of example, I've just tricked out the fanciest, most powerful gaming system I could for both the liquid series and the non-liquid series. The standard one came to £2981, well within your budget; the liquid series one came to £3627. Their performance would be pretty much indistinguishable. So the question really is whether you want to take that performance/cost hit for the sake of the appearance...
