Picking up an order?

Hypothetically speaking, let's say I ordered a new laptop from PC Specialist, it is in build now, and I have nothing better to do over the next few days. If I was crazy impatient, could I phone them up and arrange to pick my order up in person when it is ready (theoretically getting it at least day earlier than I would otherwise)? Has anyone done this?

You can do that normally, there may be restrictions at the moment because of covid. But give them a call and ask.

Sadly due to the ongoing pandemic, we are not allowing any visits to site. This includes collections of systems.

It’s worth downloading the DPD app, it’s very good and gives you updates and live tracking.

I had my system delivered the next day on completion of testing etc. DPD are pretty good and give you a 1 hour time window. Would say it's better than having to stay in all day to wait but for most people there isn't much else to do. Not buying into this forced daily exercise lark either!!

Hmmm... I could swear I saw an article with a quote from Matt Hancock saying you can now "drive to destinations of interest as long as you observe proper social distancing when you arrive" (or something like that), but now I can't find it anywhere... Maybe it was all in my head... 😅

Oh well, it arrives tomorrow anyway!
