Photoshop + video editing with occasional gaming (any changes?)

Just generic photoshop editing, occasional video editing and gaming. Is this overkill? Not enough? I'm pretty clueless.

Also this is such a basic question but I want to be able to transfer files via bluetooth if poss.

I have a 27" monitor which is 2560x1440 res and as far as I can tell the gfx card is more than enough for this.

Thank you in advance for your patience and sorry for being clueless.

Unfortunately, a quad-core processor that’s a few generations old isn’t really going to cut it these days. The memory is lacking and very low frequency, you’ll struggle to do anything without things grinding to a halt. And the GPU would be able to run very basic games but anything halfway modern and it’d immediately flake out. It’ll also be a real crutch for the system depending on what kind of video editing you’re doing.

Aside from the case, the whole thing would really benefit from a total re-spec.

Can you let us know what budget you’re working with, what the make and model of monitor is and what types of games you’ll be playing?

That's really helpful - thanks so much! Sorry for being so naive.

The monitor is a Dell U2719D 27" - I'm not really a gamer tbh, I used to be but just want the option of playing if I wanted to in the future (if I ever get enough time again). So being able to play the latest games would be great - just having the capacity to cope without issues rather than being the worlds best super gaming PC.

My budget is £1000. Thank you.

I would suggest the following and then buy a graphics card later if you find you need one.
You will be able to play a surprising number of games using the AMD integrated graphics and lower settings and the compromises to the rest of the system to add the GPU are not worth it in my opinion.
GPUs are at silly prices at the moment and if you find yourself getting back into more serious gaming you can add one then.
As you have a 1440p monitor I would suggest at least an RX6600 GPU if you decide you do want to play the latest games but this would take you £200 over budget and if I was you I would wait and see if you need one (surly prices must come down soon).

Case
LIAN LI LANCOOL 215 GAMING CASE (good case)
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 5 5600G Six Core CPU with Radeon™ Graphics (3.9GHz-4.4GHz/19MB CACHE/AM4) (much newer much better processor with decent (better than Intel) integrated graphics)
Motherboard
ASUS® PRIME B550-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s) - ARGB Ready! (better than the one you selected OK for your purposes)
Memory (RAM)
16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB) (4gb RAM is not enough especially for photo shop. You could save a tiny amount by going for slower RAM but I would advise against it especially if you may be gaming)
Graphics Card
INTEGRATED GRAPHICS ACCELERATOR (GPU) (Will be fine for Photoshop and some very light gaming)
1st M.2 SSD Drive
512GB INTEL® 670p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 3000MB/sR | 1600MB/sW) (fast boot drive with space for 1 or 2 games)
1st Storage Drive
2TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 256MB CACHE (Storage for your photos / videos)
Power Supply

Power Cable
1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead)
Processor Cooling
STANDARD AMD CPU COOLER (fine for current purposes)
Thermal Paste
STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING
