I managed to get a 3060ti at mrsp(must’ve stepped in dog poo for a week to get one). Only for my pc to die the day it arrived *cleans dog poo from shoe*

Now it is currently sat in the fine building at PCS, but my worry is the problem not being what I think it is and waiting longer than I’d hope to wait.

My pc would turn on but not post. No bios no windows no actually input to my monitor. Fans would work, rgb lighting would work but nothing else.

Now I’ve reset my cmos with the 2 pins as well as removing the battery for 20 mins.
Reseated the cpu, gpu and both ram sticks, using just one in each slot as well as putting the gpu into my second pci-e slot but to no avail.
Now what bothers me is when I turned it on with a missing part, no light or noise comes from the mobo to tell me that piece is missing.

So I’m just wondering with the current supply issue with everything apart from motherboards would anyone think the issue is actually the mobo and nothing else?
Thanks

If it's back at PCS now then there is little point in us trying to second guess what PCS might find. I do know they have a fairly long RMA queue so you might be without it for a while.

As long as it's in warranty and as long as you caused no damage when you inserted your own 3060ti card, you needn't worry what they find. It will get fixed. :)

Thank you, unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to insert the 3060ti, loaded up the pc ready to update my bios and that’s when it wouldn’t load.
Yes you are right about the RMA. Probably be at least another 3 weeks until it’s looked at. Fingers crossed though it is just the motherboard and nothing else.
New monitor and new gpu and they are just sitting at home waiting :( typical haha.

So you fired it up with no GPU in, how did you expect it to display anything on the screen with no GPU, or did it have the 2060 in, I assume you plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard

I had the 2060S in, no on board gfx so it was plugged into the gpu, worked Friday evening. Didn’t boot Saturday. Didn’t change a thing in between those 10 hours.
