I'm so god damned mad.

I received my computer, its really badly put together.

And by badly, i mean I'm lucky I'm not dead, and luckier still that my computer didn't self destruct, like it would have done if i had turned it on when it arrived instead of deciding to do a complete investigation after hearing a loose screw inside the case.

I am going to have to wait till I'm not quite so angry before posting about this in full, because otherwise all that you will hear is my rage.

PC specialists response : "sorry about that."

Sorry we almost killed you. Yeah. Thanks for that.

What a joke of a company. Do not buy from them, cancel your orders, for your own safety.

I will post another thread (as this one will likely be closed by PCS) with the full set of pictures I'm now very glad I took.

I don't think the thread will be closed and I am really curious to hear your side and hopefully get an official response from PCS here. Posting in multiple threads wouldn't help your case and possible that could be deleted unless you are attempting to tarnish PCS's reputation which is against forum rules.
The thread you posted does seem serious and hopefully both side are shared.

Mattie whilst I can understand you are very annoyed, you need to stop posting on lots of other threads from various other people about why you think PCS did such a bad job, you have your own thread (this one) for that, and it will only be closed if it started getting out of hand (ps. please try and keep to one thread)
Hopefully everything will get sorted out quickly for you.

I just spoke to another PCS employee, and they are taking things a little more seriously now.

As the forums don't feel like my "only recourse" at this present time, and as i feel there may be useful dialogue to be had with PCS, i am withholding further comment at this time and requesting that this thread be closed / locked until i have heard more from PCS.

Why bother close this thread, you will just post on others, you have already put the above on another thread. I am sorry your computer was a mess but you do not help yourself with multiple posts over variety of threads.

Well because at that time i believed that trashing PCS on social media was the only way i would see any progress on this issue.

Since then i have had my 4th phone call with PCS and spoken to someone that believed me and asked for photos.

To be honest, i think the first set of people i spoke to may have thought i was talking BS, or not understood what i was saying.

While I don't wish anyone experience your situation attempting to use social media to thrash someones reputation (not explain or highlight the issue) makes you lose credibility.
I hope this problem is explained and an official response from PCS is posted as well. It is a very serious claim that I hope can be sorted promptly.

i agree keynes, as i said in the op, i was clearly too angry to be posting, it would appear some good has come of it.

Do you have any pictures? Just interested to see how they've wired it up etc. Never heard of a case like this before.

This does sound extremely serious, I think it's very important that you post photos showing exactly what was wrong, even if it's just so that others can check their rigs. I've never heard of this sort of problem before, quite the opposite in fact.

I understand your anger and I'm sure I'd be just as angry if that had happened to me, but it's never wise to complain in anger. Write your complaint and then take a long walk and come back and re-read it before you send it. Even with a complaint that sounds as justified as yours, how you complain affects what sort of a response you get. People generally treat you the way you treat them. Trashing PCS on social media, or on here, is never the best way to get your problems sorted. As Winston Churchill once famously said "jaw-jaw is better than war-war".

It seems from the later posts that things have calmed down and you are getting a response from PCS. I have no doubt it will get sorted.

I really do urge you to post pictures on here though so that we can all see what the problems were.

I would once again like to take this opportunity to apologise for the inconvenience caused, I spoke to you yesterday regarding your order and it was me who asked you to send an email.

Your email was printed as promised and put on the Operation Managers desk, he also discussed your order with the Production Manager, both Managers apologised for the inconvenience caused.

Unfortunately we will need to bring this machine back so we can inspect it further, your return will be on a priority and will be passed on to a senior colleague working in the RMA department.

I have called you regarding this but unfortunately I have not been able to speak to you, please email me when you are free to speak, I will book the system in.

We specialise in selling Computer systems, based on that we have designed our building, testing and quality control departments, we certainly will be adding further steps to make sure this never happens again.

I would once again like to take this opportunity to apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards

Dear Mattie

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Here are the pictures that you sent to us. As you have made this public it is now important that we clarify the cable wiring so that we can address your concerns:

This wiring powers the LEDs on the fan on the CoolerMaster HAF-X case. The current running through these wires is less than 1.0A and if you were to touch these wires bare you would not feel the slightest of electrical shocks. If anything, you would probably receive more current by touching both ends of an AA battery - of which I'm sure pretty much everybody has done before.

The wires are routed this way for cable management and they are not chafing or in the slightest tightly pressed between the case optical drive bays, and can be slid out very easily. The wires are initially crimped into position which is why they maintain their shape in the picture when you removed them.

If you are not happy with the way the wiring has been completed, we would be more than happy to take back the computer and issue a full refund, or alternatively re-wire the case for you. As you have already removed these wires I assume you have already re-routed these.

I don't see what the issue was at all, I think this was pretty hyped up from the start along with all the postings to several threads about time the build was taking.

"The Boy who cried wolf" springs to mind.

Or am I missing something???
