I thought this would be useful for any linux users like myself out there using a tongfang chassis based laptop.
There's a fairly new project on github which allows us some basic control over the backlight of our keyboards. It is still early in development so functionality should improve over time. It is written in python.
Github link: avell-unofficial-control-center
It is fairly easy to install, and someone has already packaged an AUR package if anyone here is an arch linux user. Just bear in mind if you are installing from AUR there are some other python dependencies. If you have previously installed those dependencies using pip, the AUR install will fail.
Instructions on how to use are available on the above linked github page.
