PCS Fusion RL

I'd be interested to know people's thoughts on this PCS prebuilt desktop - Fusion RL.

I want an 'out the box' gaming PC as I really don't know enough to select components to design my own. Nor the skills to build one.

It would be paired with a HP X27 monitor and I'd like to use it for playing a mix of games from FPS to RPGs to strategy.

Any thoughts appreciated.

You don't need to build one, that's what PCS are for.

We can advise on a build if you let us know your max budget?
Haha no I know. I guess I'm just confessing that I wouldn't be able to design or build.

That might be the best way then... Thank you.
£1500-1600 max, excluding monitor. I like the Warhammer world and would like to play Darktide when it comes out!

This would be around where I'd be looking at 1080p 144Hz, slightly over budget, but with good reason, it's affording you some top class components. The Warhammer games which are Strategy tend to favour stronger CPU, especially at lower resolutions.

IMHO, all consoles now are 8 core CPU's and dual core graphics. Where you can get away with even a quad core AT THE MOMENT, I think for future considerations, an 8 core CPU is a stronger investment.

This also has good scope to upgrade the GPU (strong PSU) to a 1440p or even 4k tier down the line should you wish to.

Thank you. Food for thought. I've been hovering for a while and it's just convincing myself to part with the cash now!
Remind me of why the 2 SSDs..? I know I've read it but can't remember.

With drives you always have dedicted drives for each purpose.

In this instance small 500Gb for Windows and the other as a game drive. That way if you have to reinstall windows you don't lose your games. Plus it leads to higher performance if access routes are on separate drives ie separate PCIe lanees, there's no queue bottleneck on one drive PCIe lane.

And would you say there's any benefit in going for the 3060 TI?
Not for 1080p. It's a 1440p screen. Plus it would put you over budget.

But I would never suggest a 1080p build, it's a vastly inferior resolution which is quickly losing support. 1440p is infinitely better for little outlay.

So for an entry level 1440p what would you suggest? If it's worth the extra now for longevity I'm all for it.

P.S. Thanks again.

It only makes sense to buy a GPU for the display you have right now, unless you are going to upgrade imminently. Graphics technology moves on at such a pace that there will be new, better products available at the same price or cheaper by the time you actually need the extra performance. If you're going to buy a 1440p display: the 3060 Ti would be worth it; otherwise, not.

For your purposes, I'd actually reckon you could go even cheaper than @SpyderTracks's build by swapping in the AMD 6600 rather than the 3060: broadly similar performance but much cheaper.

Ok. Makes sense for my monitor to just go for a GPU that can manage 1440p then I guess. I've found the budgeting hard when I don't really know what I need to get for what I want. Which sounds like a build that can handle 1440p now and would accommodate a higher tier card in future without many upgrades elsewhere.
Thanks @sck451 and @SpyderTracks.
