Hi there,

Firstly, I wouldn't recommend that spec as the 10900X is not a good CPU at all and there are far better options on the market from both Intel and AMD.

I would recommend giving the following a read: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/foru...posting-collaboration-of-helpful-hints.77691/

Then please could you let us know your budget, use case, and monitor?

Additionally, are you retiring your old machine? If so, you can save a chunk of change by transferring your old licence across. Please could you also elaborate on what drives you will be taking across to the new build, so that we know what other drives we need to spec in.

As a 2nd spec... I'm assuming you have another post somewhere with your original ideas?
This thread will probably be moved if you do, but are you able to link it?
Curious as to budget/uses and monitor etc.

Also wondered about your choice of CPU given you've gone for a 3080 GPU... build doesnt seem very balanced but perhaps your use case can explain why youd tilt the budget so heavily towards a GPU.

Im confused by the spec youve put above given a 3K budget, monitors appear to be 1440p (think one is even the same as the monitor I have...)
I'd suggest something like this, excellent case (I know you put you wanted to reuse your own... but I dont know a huge amount about it or if you would be able to fit the components selected) 5000X is an excellent case, and looks good too.

32GB RAM seems incredibly excessive for your uses, its very rare a gaming machine makes use more than 16Gb unless its stuff like MSFS2020, 3070Ti is also going to be more than good enough for your monitors/uses...3080 is more expensive and I dont think you'll gain anything from it. (Argueably, the 3070 Ti is quite possibly overkill still)

500Gb M2 for a dedicated OS drive, 1TB M2 for games, youve then said youve got drive you want to put in and the case should have plenty of room to do that.

1000W PSU to give great head room and allow future GPU upgrades.

Quite possible that theres a few changes that can still be made to get the most out of it, but as you can see, no where near that 3K budget ceiling and I would think far better performance over what you selected above.
