Pc not booting and leds changed to red

I brought a pc with these spec listed below and it arrived on Tuesday, I didn’t get to use it at all till today and when I started playing games I realised the performance of the pc isnt really to where it should be. I was getting 120 fps with this build with every setting on low. I started to try to optimise the build since clearly this hasn’t been done correctly and now the pc won’t boot and I’m left with red leds when I try to boot the pc up. The back fan will spin for a few seconds then it will just randomly stop.

For the amount of money I spent on this pc the fact it’s running so poorly on every game I’ve tried is kind of outrageous. So please help me.

Where is the OS installed? Where are the games installed? What game is it that you can't get over 120fps, and what resolution are you trying, and what is your monitor refresh rate?

Both of the options I can see from your storage selection would give me concern, as you wouldn't want RAID on any boot drives, and having it on the HDD would be be crippling a beast of a system.

Os is installed on the m.2s, games I’ve tried was

Apex legends and was getting 120fps with every setting low
Csgo with 300 fps which again it should be higher with this system
Rainbow 6 getting 150 with low settings again

240 hz monitor but for the moment my main worry is trying to get the pc to even boot again since I can’t get to the bios or start screen at all currently

What resolution?

I would definitely remove raid from the NVMEs, it’s completely pointless on a modern system and will kill the drives quickly if nothing else.

You’ve also got the 7950x3d which isn’t designed for gaming in that way, have you disabled the non x3d CCD? Without that disabled you’ll find performance tends to drop.

I was planning on doing it when I can get the pc to boot again do you have any idea as to why it won’t boot?

You say you started optimisation, what did you change?

You still haven’t said what resolution, we’re not going to be able to help much if you don’t answer our questions.

Not sure I watched a YouTube video for the optimisation

Was this Windows optimisation, BIOS optimisation, hardware optimisation, fan curve optimisation, overclocking optimisation, or something else?

If it was me, I’d be remove the RAID and reinstalling a fresh copy of Windows onto a single m.2, and use the other for game installs…keeping the HDD for backups and user folders.

(of course, it goes without saying that it should be near perfect out of the box, but things do get jarred during transit)

Windows optimisation only, I want todo this but since the pc is giving me that symbol I left above I can’t even get it to boot

“Optimising” windows based on a YouTube video wasn’t a good move, would have been better to have used Pc for a bit out of the box to confirm it was working correctly and if changes needed be certain of what they were.

But what is done is done

When you say it won’t boot, do you see the POST screen or able to enter bios at all? Do you hear any beeps as it starts up? On your motherboard are some debug leds, can you see which ones are lit as you boot?

Side thought: you definitely had the monitor connected to the GPU and not the onboard graphics? Could possible account for the low fps if you had

No post screen, not able to enter bios. Pc beeps once when pressing on button, fans start spinning for a few seconds then the cooler gets a picture of a cog and all the leds go red, the qcode reads 99 and then after about 30 seconds of nothing it shuts down. I’m aware the problem is somethign todo with the cooler but everything I’ve looked at online basically points to it being broke

So 99 would indicate some device is not interfacing with the motherboard properly. Could be USB (aio connects via usb header), could be RAM, could be CPU, etc. Either way, I think given it's a brand new PC, I'd contact PCS support for assistance.

Can I ask what you intend to use the PC for? Is it just gaming?

I personally would recommend contacting PCSpecialist as a priority for something like this. These aren't typically the kind of issues an inexperienced user should have to deal with out of the box. Your inability to enter the BIOS in addition to Q-Code 99 could be anything from a loose connection to faulty hardware.

If it is loose hardware (which can occur during shipping) a PCSpecialist employee would ideally recommend opening the case and making sure your devices look like they're properly connected (USB, peripherals such as KB+M, HDMI/DP connections, storage devices fully inserted). If none of those fixes your issue, you'd have to return the PC for them to fix it for you.
