PC making vibrating sound?

Update on this: Still vibrating. Took off the back panel with all the cable management and noticed a USB 3.0 cable and connector lodged behind my motherboard and can't get this out without removing the motherboard...don't have the confidence to do that to be honest. Could it be this causing the vibrations?

Anything's possible given that there usually isn't much room behind the motherboard so it may be pressing. As to moving it, it depends...most wires can be disconnected from somewhere to reposition them. If you take a photo to show which cable we may be able to tell you if it's disconnectable

So this is the culprit in question; the third picture is the wires it’s wrapped in so I can’t remove this unless I untie the rest of the wires

Hmm, I'm really surprised that's not being used. That would suggest that you have USB ports on the case that aren't being powered?

Could you check the chassis USB ports (the ones that aren't part of the I/O panel) and report any not working? I think that's possibly missed. If you take the other panel off you should see where it plugs in to be honest.

Again, if there are dead USB ports on the case, I would definitely report this to PCS. Between the cooler and this cable left dangling in the back, whoever built this PC had a howler IMO.

It’s the front panel USB 3.0 that isn’t working, the rest are working though. No idea where it would plug into as the cable management is too thick to see which cable it actually is at the end of it. I’ve already sent them an email to see what can be done about or if it’s an issue, I can’t exactly RMA it as I’m working from home and I can’t go without the PC

Just a shame a 1.7K PC wasn’t checked over :(

Honestly, you need to report this so that it stops happening.

Can you take a decent pic of the motherboard from the inside, there should be a USB3.0 connector down the bottom. The end that you've taken a picture off should slide under the motherboard so that it pops out the other side. From there it should allow you to connect it.

Took a few pics so you can see it all, also marked where the wire is from the connector

Picture 1, the large connector coming from the PSU onto the motherboard with all the wires attached. To the right near the middle.

Directly below this you can see a black plastic box with pins inside it. This is where the USB header should be plugged in. It's difficult to see in the pics as the braided cable is going over the top of it but you will be able to see it no bother with your head in there.

The pic you have circled the cable in.... you should be able to pull it through that gap.

Once you have it, there's a tab on it that only allows it to go into the connector one way, line it up and gently work it in to make sure you don't bend any pins.

Fire her up :)

The big chunky blue bit for the USB is too thick to pull between the gap of the motherboard and case, even applying a little bit of pressure it won’t budge :( Reckon it would be this making the vibration sounds though, as it’s trapped between the MB and side panel?

I see what you mean. It's going to need the screws on that side of the motherboard removed to get enough movement to pull it out unfortunately.

My guess is it may even need the GPU removed.

It's up to yourself whether you want to attempt this or not, you'll need to keep the system grounded (plugged in but switched off at the back).

Good time to swap over the cooler radiator too.

Happy to take you through it all if you want to attempt it but totally understand if you don't fancy it. Taking your time and keeping the screws safe is the key :)

I’ll try and find some time to do it when I’m not working, hopefully it’s not a long process! I find it a bit strange as my message I sent to support has somehow disappeared off the system now as if I never sent anything...not in my Sent box on the site’s support page 🤔🤔

I know their communications have been really struggling. Emails have been bouncing etc. Might be to do with that. unsure though.

Taking your time it's about a half hour tops.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::cry:

Really no words on this, that is inexcusable.

I've reached out to you in PMs to get a little bit more information on this but I would prefer if we can get it back to resolve this as soon as possible.
