Currently looking at getting a better PC as I have sold my old one and need a stronger one.
Reason for case is due to space for the case to go.
Main use is for gaming/VR and browsing the Internet
Price:£2883
Currently using 1920x1080 144hz monitor (Going to upgrade to a 1440p eventually)
Wanna upgrade to new specs I.e 2080 i9 32gb ram.i also have a rift s so VR gaming would need to be stable 🙂
Thanks in advance for the help

Any non-VR gaming? If so, on what monitor? What res and refresh rate?

Any non-gaming uses? What software?

What's the budget and what price did that come to?

What's the thinking on the storage?

There are 2 SSD so I wondered what the thinking was with how to use them.

Also to give any sensible feedback, we'd need to know the rest too :) When are you going 1440p? what is the budget for that monitor etc?

2080 Ti is a bit of a waste of money in my opinion.
Very overpriced for the performance you gain comparing to e.g 2080 Super.
Get a 2080 Super for 600£ less and put that elsewhere & Upgrade to next gen GPU's when they come out instead.

I was gonna use the 1tb ssd to put windows on and others bits and Bob's like files or storage then the 2tb SSD for storing games and applications.Going to 1440p will probably be in a few months or if I can find a deal on one as I already have monitor so I'm not desperate for one.I spent about £200 on my current one which is decent enough for gaming,im not really to sure on a budget for a 1440p yet as I'm in and out of browsing for one.

The short versions of the feedback is:
2080 ti possibly a waste
STRIX definitely a waste
32gb RAM complete waste

That alone would probably save you more than enough for a 1440p 144hz monitor with adaptive sync. Some suggestions here:

Overbuying on a GPU only to not buy a monitor upgrade for a little while tends to lead to newer, more powerful, and cheaper GPUs having been released before you even really started using the old one, which is effectively cash down the drain. When getting a great system with an amazing CPU and GPU, it's a shame to bottleneck it with the monitor. :)

For the SSDs, and this kind of budget, I'd have suggested a 500gb 970 Evo for OS + programs + a game or two, 2TB cheap SSD for games if you like, and the 5TB HDD for music, movies, archived games, files, etc.

What kind of space is the case going into?

It needs to be able to fit on my desk so I choose the nzxt case as It fits.Sorry I cant show picture file to large if that makes sense.

You can always link an image uploaded to imgur, though not necessary as I think I get what you mean :)

As long as the case has air all around it to keep things cool.

Consider sending in your own case - the Fractal Meshify C is even more compact than the H500 I think, and has excellent cooling. PCS used to offer it as an option actually, so I'm sure they'll be happy to build in it.

Sorry, when I said Strix I meant the Strix 2080 ti which last time I looked was about £300 more than a regular 2080 ti for little to no benefit. The STRIX GPUs PCS sell are almost never worth buying.

Though I would probably get the AORUS Pro motherboard rather than the Asus Strix 390-F as it has quite good VRMs as far as I know, and an otherwise similar feature set.

For your boot drive, get an M.2 instead of the classic SSD.
They are not far off when it comes to price and will be quite a big difference.

& Get the 2080S from PCS or buy it off amazon for like 600£. Even 1440p on Ultra settings wont go below 60fps using the 2080S. (Exception for some games probably)

Hiya folks I'm back again looking for some help.

Use for PC:
Mainly going to be used for gaming and VR and internet.problery not going to use any software. I.e designing, making things etc.

Current specs:
I currently have a 1920x1080 144hz monitor 1080p
I also have a rift s for the VR side of it.

Space:
M.2 drive is for OS and the ssd is for games and other stuff.Might sound stupid but I was thinking of getting a 4tb instead of a 2 as then I would have plenty of room for my games to go then.
I also have a 5tb HDD drive which I can plug via USB if I need it for moving stuff around.

Reason for the case is that I cant see the NZXT cases,as originally they were perfect as I have limited room for my pc to go in.
Thanks in advance for any help

So if the M.2 SSD really is just for the OS and a little software, stick to 250gb and save a bundle of cash.

a 2TB SSD for games will be more than fine. How many are you realistically going to be 'into' at any one time?

Those you aren't into at a given moment, but don't want to have to redownload, you can just archive to an HDD, and reinstall at will. Steam has a built in backup and restore function.

I have a similar setup with a 2TB SSD, and an 8TB HDD.

Spec looks good. :)
