My order was placed on the 2nd of June with the standard build and delivery, it arrived today which was the 12th working day.

First, thanks to these guys at PCS who built, tested and packed my PC, and thanks to everyone on the forums who helped with my spec :)

Built By - Sanjit Ghosh
Tested By - Zbear Ramzan
QC'd By - Craig Whiteley
Packed By - Anthony Cunliffe

My first 2 pc's from PCS both arrived with no issue, and I hoped the DHL guys would treat this one just as gently. The box arrived and didnt look as if they'd played football with it (woo) apart from one hole in the side of the box

Other than that though the pc looked alright, upon removing the pc from the box however i could here a small rattle, concerning at first but turned out it was just a part of the case which had probably been broken off in transit, should be easily replaced however, the bit that was broken off was a clip for the top cover of the case

After figuring out where the power lead was connected (bottom of the pc >.>) was easy to set up, and the packaging foam seems to have done the job of keeping all the components inside.

It's all setup now, important programs are installed and now i'm just waiting for steam to download a few games before i test it out properly. Windows gave me a rating of 7.7 (processor letting me down ;P)

Final thoughts, thanks to PCS for building me another great PC, cant really fault their service as they kept me updated throughout the build, my sub-order was put in no problem, arrived within the estimated time, worked out of the box, and i'm a happy bunny :) and cos i couldnt resists, one last pic of it :p

holy f*ck that is some huge GPU, i thought the case was split into two for some odd reason :/
it's a 580, i have two of 'em in mine rig and it's not that big, this must be a mid tower case though :)
(i have HAF-X)

i was originally planning on getting the OCZ but the intel's are apparently more reliable and come with a longer guarantee.

trying to play f1 2010 atm but for some reason games for windows live wont work at all, not even standalone :'(

nice one mate rep looks cool, its not upside down f3ar its just the way the case is set up the theory is as hot air always rises if you orientate all your exhaust up with the two fans at the base of the case it should run cooler

well the bad news is that there is something wrong with my pc, unfortunately I cant tell what atm, but its causing issues with GFWL which looks similar to a corrupted windows install. hopefully it will turn out to be a simple windows issue that can be solved with a format but dont really want to try anything until i've spoke to PCS, will keep you updated on what happens :(

edit: also in terms of size, it was actually bigger than expect, I had to cut a hole in my desk and attach a new leg to support the drawers on the right hand side to allow it to fit. Heightwise it isnt too big, but the width surprised me, it was advertised at 235mm wide, but it barely fits through a 250mm hole

Can you provide some more details on the issue you're facing? I don't think you'd need to RMA anything if its just the GFWL playing up.. I also faced some issues with GFWL, but eventually all got sorted (without formatting anything).

Let me know, and maybe I can help.

Cheers

well i installed f1 2010 from steam, and went to launch it, steam says i'm in game, then after about 10 seconds of doing nothing, says i'm not anymore. so looked around and thought gfwl might be the issue, so tried launching it by itself, just gets to the splash screen then crashes, no error message other than the program ahs stopped working. so tried uninstalling that and reinstalling it but nothing, just tried with resident evil 5 aswell, but same issue =[

edit: just got this error from gfwl - cant start this program, exception of type "Microsoft.Gfwl.Client.Framework.XLiveServices.LiveIdWrapper.IDCRLException" was thrown.

Do you have all the other necessary tools installed? For e.g. Visual C++ 2005, 2008, 2010 Redis packages, PhysX etc?
