So apparently Kingdom Hearts has come to PC. I hadn't realised this was even a possibility. I'm aware the storyline is convoluted, so won't be going near the games for a while yet as I don't have the time (or patience!) to get my head round it all, but someone may be interested.

Still Wakes The Deep has been on my radar for a while and is out today. It's made by The Chinese Room, a British studio who have previously made Dear Esther and Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, and are currently working on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2.

It's a psychological horror game set on an oil rig off the cost of Scotland and seems to have nailed the isolation and claustrophobia of the location and the genre. It may well be worth a look!

Oooo, that looks promising, thanks for the heads up.

Theres something about the remote location plus the weather plus deep sea factor of rigs that make the setting extra creepy. Really like the look of that 👍

The only real criticism of it is that it's around 4 hours long. Given that people will pay £15 for a 2 hour long film in the cinema. £30 for a 4 hour game with no crazy grinding or whatever seems perhaps a touch high, but still mostly alright to me, and it's 10% off for the moment so it's less than that. I have enough to be getting on with, especially as #BLUD also releases today, so won't be buying it yet, but if the reviews stay the way they're heading (into Very Positive), then I'd certainly consider paying full price or maybe one of the smaller weekly discounts (10/15%) for it when I'm feeling ready to give it a go.

I don’t mind that at all if it’s a rich storyline, it looks ultra atmospheric which really appeals and it’s very not the norm

Not a deal as such, well not yet, but the Steam Summer Sale starts on Thursday. It seems that people can already start collecting Steam cards on any purchases they make for the event.

Riven is one of THE most iconic puzzle games as the first sequel to Myst. I was never smart enough as a kid to play it, but now it has been remade, I'm thinking I may jump in some day.
