PC for the end of the year

Hey everyone :)

I currently have a good pc but I am thinking about upgrading it. - You know how it goes, you always want something better ;)
My idea is to buy myself a new one by the end of the year.
(I know we're only in february but I just like to plan everything and I don't think that until the end of the year there are new specs coming out.)

This is the one I prepared, please give me feedbacks also about the bottlenecks etc.

Price is at: CHF 3'351.- after Taxes.

EDIT:
Monitor - I have 2 Monitors:
1. ASUS TUF VG279QM (1920 x 1080) 280Hz ( Use this more for all the gaming)
2. ASUS TUF VG27AQ (2560 x 1440) 165Hz (Using this as secondary monitor so far) - The DP is broken so I have it connected by HDMI

Uses - I want to use the system for high-end gaming but also for everyday tasks, like HomeOffice etc.

Max Budget - For my Max budget I would say I can go as far as CHF 3'500.-

Thank you in advance for all your feedbacks.

Cheers

It's a bit early, and you may find components in your build go out and come back into stock/rotation as the year plays out.

Also, end of the year tends to get busy due to Christmas, so September/October is the latest I'd leave it - unless new components are released (maybe AMD AI CPUs and AMD GPUs), in which case you'd want to move quicker to avoid the mad rush for those.

But to help, we'd need some info from you...so please read the following forum post, digest it, and come back to us with the answers to the questions posed in the 'WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU' section...

Hey Tony!
Thank you for your comment and inputs, I understand your points and I might as well get it in september / october.

I have edited the asked information directly on the post.

Unless you have some specific need for super-fast, or just extra 10Gb ethernet, then the onboard 5Gb ethernet will be plenty.

There's little point (from what I can see of your usage) for such a high-end motherboard...the Eagle X870 or Auros Elite X870E would be plenty and save CHF300.

7200MHz RAM will offer almost nothing for gaming...and 6000-6400MHz is the sweet spot between cost/value/performance.

I'd want a better cooler than the PCS offering, no point going for premium components elsewhere and going cheap on a critical part like the cooler. For that CPU a Titan 280 or Titan 360 would be a very good match...and be better quality/reliability than the PCS ones. You also won't need the premium thermal paste as the Corsair pre-applied paste is better...and machine-applied, so rules out poor application by the builder.

We're not fans of the latest 990 Pro Samsung drives, as their endurance/reliability has not been very good...along with some well-documented firmware issues when they were launched. We'd suggest a 1TB Solidigm P44 Pro as the primary/boot drive, and a 4TB Solidigm P41 Plus, Corsair Core XT MP600, or Corsair MP600 Pro.

If I’m not mistaken, you only bought your current pc in 2022, so replacing it is entirely pointless, just upgrade it which is rather the point of investing in a custom pc

Wow, a Wilson spec!

You've got the 1000W PSU on there (hopefully) so you've got room for an upgraded GPU. It'll be worth seeing what's happened with pricing towards the end of the year, and see if all the kinks have been ironed out of the 5000 series launch.

Potentially you may benefit from another games drive, I've been contemplating swapping mine out now as games keep getting bigger and bigger. Your motherboard has room for another one.

And unless you're looking to upgrade your monitors, you won't get much mileage out of a GPU upgrade anyway. The only thing really holding the 3060ti back is the 8GB VRAM, but there's not too many titles that this will limit you on at the moment.

Yes, the pc is from 2022 and it still works pretty good (thanks for your help Wilson ;))
I also thought about upgrading it, but as I don't really (still) don't understand much, I thought, if I upgrade my CPU and RAM I would also have to upgrade the MB.
Do you have any tips on what I should upgrade then? (In these 3 years, what I noticed is that I use it for a bit more then just fps-gaming and the CPU and RAM don't really follow up anymore on the newer games)
Thank too all of you!

you can upgrade the cpu to 14700k

replace the cooler to an iCue Titan 360

Double the RAM to 32gb

Upgrade the GPU to whatever tier your monitor needs.

You don’t need to replace it, completely pointless, you’ll get far less performance than if you upgrade it
