PC fans seem extremely loud

hey guys, i'm a bit of a computer novice and i recently purchased a PC, it has Corsair H115i ELITE CAPELLIX RGB Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler. Computer cost around 3k yet it so loud, not sure if its meant to be silent, however its not even close, the fans sporadically increase and decrease in rpm and the minute I start download something the fans go berserk. Hoping someone can help me out here thanks.

Is this a pcspecialist PC? Can you post your full specs from the order page?

First thing to do is download HWMonitor and check temps.

Unfortunately you ordered the increased paste, but that cooler comes pre applied with high quality past which is actually better. That's not a bad thing particularly just means it's possible it was a bad paste job.

I can't see anything untoward in your cooler fan or pump speeds, and temps look ok.

Are you sure it's the cooler and not the case fans?

So im pretty sure its the case fans, is it possible or wise to change them, or do i just put up with the noise
Have you ever run the Fan Control profile from either within the motherboard Bios or via Asus AI Suite.

If not it may be something worth doing.

Forget that as I presume that ICue software takes the place of that

i turned them down to 700 hundred fixed rpm and its quiet. Will this damage the computer, is there a standard in which the case fans are usually set to, cause i have know idea what is too high or too low.

The case fans may be placed in the wrong headers which is why they're over revving.

They should be in the CHFAN_1, 2 etc headers on the motherboard.

They should change by CPU temperature at all, so if they are, it suggests they need moving to the proper headers.
