Hi,
looking for help please, as Have yet another problem with this PC. One of the fans at the front has stopped working, no lights and not turning.
I would rather it didn't go back again as this will be the third time in about 12 months and each time it's gone for around 3 weeks.
If a replacement can be sent out Are the fans difficult to fit?
Thank you.

Have you moved it at all recently? The fans are plugged into a little inverter board in the case then that plugs into the motherboard. Just double check the three fan headers are fully plugged in and one hasn’t slipped out a bit.

Indeed, as Spydertracks has mentioned I would trace the cabling, if both have gone off it seems likely that the cable has come out. If you're stuck with a set of cables please, by all means, take a photo of the cabling and we will help you identify this. Hopefully, we can sort it without a return being necessary.

no, it never gets moved. so i don't understand how a cable can just come out on its own.

only one of the two fans at the front of the pc has gone off.
apparently, the pc is out of parts warranty so they won't do a rma and replace anyway :-( i have a silver warranty (1 Year Collect & Return, 1 Year Parts, 3 Year Labour) so i'm guessing i would have to pay for delivery and collection and parts? be easier and quicker to just take to local shop then if that is the case.
thanks, i'll take a picture of the cabling, to make sure i'm checking the right thing.

Pictures attached. It's the top fan that's not working but I can't see any connections that have come loose. 🤔
Thanks. 😊

can anyone see any loose connections i've missed? not sure what to do with this TBH. bit worried about using it with one fan not working, in case it overheats and it gets damaged.

Sorry Skippy I never saw the reply on Friday.

It looks okay from here, those two wires coming away from the fans on the 1st image are the ones we want to trace, I can't see if they're connected from here you'd likely need to take the other case side off.

If it's all connected but still not spinning it just needs a replacement fan. Obviously, if it's not connected properly just reseat it :) If you want to take the case side off and take some more pictures I'd be happy to look, feel free to tag me in the reply (@ then Jaktattack)

looking at the amount of dust in there i wouldn't be surprised if the fan has had it................

Trace it through from the fan end slowly & carefully, yo might have to snip a few cable ties, your pictures above aren't very clear

i've done that. the connector in the second picture seems to go behind the motherboard and connects on the backside, out of view.

can you take a better photo of that with more light, that should go on a header on the motherboard unless that case has some sort of fan hub

that's why i am confused as i thought it should. i have the connections on the front for the fans and one is already plugged in, but i have no diea what this one is doing going around to the back of it. i do not know what a fan hub is.

had taken both the sides off and was trying to get pics by moving the cables around and it turns out that the cable wasn't plugged into anything at all! have plugged it into the motherboard and it works fine. can only think that when it's been sent back twice to be fixed for something else that the cable had somehow become disconnected and got shoved into the wrong place, as i never open up the case 🤷‍♀️

That's good, still needs a good dust out in there, otherwise stuff is going to start to run to warm and thermal throttle or burn out
