pc crashing while gaming

for a couple week now my pc has began to crash while game. The cpu utilization is going to 100% then i lose all fps and the game will crash or somtimes my pc will just restart
this was my first pc i got it around 5 years old. have a new one coming just want to see if there is a fix for this problem

oh and the ram is now 32 gb not 16gb

When did you add more RAM? Was it just before the crashes started or some time ago? Just to know if it was maybe mis-matched RAM as that can cause crashing.

Beyond that, although it's not BSODing, you might still be able to find some of the info from this thread:

RAM was changed last year
i thought it might be a driver update but i have checked all driver updates and reinstalled some but still no fix
have been trying to see is anyone else is have problems with recent updates for windows or drivers but cant find anything
have also done a full pc rest and im still having the same problem

I was wondering how a 3900X (TDP 105W, PPT 142W) might be cooled with an insufficient and low-quality cooler like the frostflow 100. What temps do you see on the CPU? Thermal throttling issues?

cpu temp is about 46-50
gpu temp is around 65-75

i had occt runing and the game was the acent and that was the temps before the game crashed
if there is a better way i more then happy to try it as i dont know the best way to check

you need to run a cpu stress like prime95 for 10 minutes, have hwmonitor open at the side and take a screenshot of the cpu reading while the stress is still running after 10 minutes.

You need to be more specific.

What game are you running? Is it only happening in that one game?

Is this an online play, or local?

When you say crash, what do you mean? Screenshots of error messages will help

This is unfortunately another situation where a new PC is a complete waste of money, and upgrading would have gotten far more performance at lower cost

The games I was running was All online play
The Acent borderlands 3 dying light 2 and smite
2 of the games would give error message (unreal engine)
I tried playing smite VS bots only in training and there was no crash
I had already ordered a new pc before the problem started happening. I was planning on selling the pc cheap too a friend to help them out

I've just realised, it's rather pointless troubleshooting this as you'll be clean installing it when passing it on anyway, that would be a quicker resolution anyway rather than trying to find the faulting application / driver
