PC Boots but no display

Hello,

My PC has been having issues today after no issues at all.

Specs:
Z-490P
Corsair 32Gb ram
GTX 1080
i7-10700K
850W corsair CPU

My PC turns on, fans spin up, GPU light turns on but display does not turn on at all.

Anyone have any tips or ideas?

I've tested the monitors and cables, reseated the ram and reset the CMOS battery.

Driving me crazy as I've no idea what's causing it.

Thanks,

Just tried booting and this time the computer started beeping continuously, 1 long followed by 2 short and then repeating

Plug the monitor into the motherboard to rule out the GPU, but it sounds like a memory issue.

I reseated the Ram, gpu lights up and plugged the HDMI cable into the motherboard still nothing.

Just the 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps over and over

That beep code is normally RAM related.

Try just booting with one stick, then try the other.

I was on the silver program which I think is just 1 year? The invoice was created in the 1st of November 2021. But not sure if it's linked to purchase date or ship date?

As someone who's never RMAd a product before, do you have a link or more info so that I can read up on the process? Is this something where I'd be one month without it

Go to your main account page and click on your returns, then follow the instructions

Some more info here: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/warranty/

Even if you send it in, they find the problem and quote you replacement parts cost that you decide is too expensive, then you don't have to have it replaced, you can end it there, have it returned to you free of charge (as labour is included) and then get your own replacement parts yourself, but at least then you know what the underlying cause is.

Thanks for all the info, sounds like the best option. Unfortunate to send it from Ireland and to the UK and back. I miss my PC already :(

I'd like to thank everyone in this thread, no miracle fix unfortunately but you have all been amazingly helpful! :)

Update and good news, I had another look today and it seems that it was in fact the RAM that was the issue.

It wasn't seated in the 1st/3rd slot and was crashing the system. Not sure why it functioned fine for a year but seems like that was the reason behind the crash!

All running smooth now

Wasn't seated properly, or wasn't in the correct slots?
