package stuck

I rang DPD and they told me the package went to the wrong depot and was not updated in the system because of this. There will be a 1 day delay.

Unfortunate - but not PCS' fault. At least you know now. I'm not sure what form of compensation you could get? I suppose you could take it up with PCS who, in turn, would take it up with DPD.

you think im entitled to compensation? I definitely do not want to bother PCS with this as it's fully DPDs fault as they somehow send it to the wrong depot...

On another note.. how come I cannot seem to be able to track my package on the DPD website? The person I rang in DPD could see a huge amount of information on my order while on the PCS order website it shows limited info and on their own DPD tracking it cannot find the package with the tracking number??

Well it's still not late, as I said in an earlier post, I think today would be day 2 out of the 2-3 day delivery anyway, so it wouldn't be classed as late til the end of tomorrow - and I'm not sure DPD even guarantee delivery within their stated timescales - 2-3 days may just be the normal amount of time taken.

Friday, Tuesday, Wednesday - today is day 3, tomorrow day 4.

Anyway I will be glad if it arrives tomorrow, no need to bother anybody.

I always thought that one day delivery meant next day (ie. Tuesday in this case cos of the bank holiday), therefore two-day delivery from Friday would be Wednesday (ie. today), and 3 day would be tomorrow - of course I could be horribly wrong :)
And yeah hopefully it turns up tomorrow.

This is correct.
the 29th with the fastest build and shipping available. But ordered it 9 minutes passed noon so it was not counted as a work day
Since Thursday the 29th doesn't count, the system sees it as a Friday order. Friday doesn't count as a day because that would be a zero day delivery. Haha. Rakk is correct in saying that Thursday would be the third working day. Hopefully it arrives tomorrow mate.

Just checked the order page and it now says that they delivered it to the wrong depot yesterday (depot 9 instead of depot 8 - its 15 minute drive away from the other depot) and now the status says they brought it all the way back to the main sort hub many hours away... Arghh

I rang them and they apologised again for the mistake and ensured me it would arrive today.. (this was earlier this morning)

AND NOW I HAVE IT! :)

it's so beautiful.

After reading several threads on this forum about dead pixels I immediately googled a dead pixel test (change screen colour to spot them) and.... SHOCK! :(

I immediately seen a huge white dead pixel in the middle of the screen... oh my.... i started wiping the screen hoping for it to be dust or something... but no ... its definitely stuck there...... I told myself that I am definitely buying dead pixel insurance every order in the future from PCS....

Then I realised a START TEST button?? The middle of the screen was AN EXAMPLE of what a dead pixel would look like!! After running the test going through the different colours... NO DEAD PIXELS were found, phew!

haha! I dont really want to further bump this thread as it has arrived but maybe one of you PCS guru's that have been reading my posts could help me with this:

The backlit keyboard is new to me and very handy when its dark BUT it seems to be ALWAYS on...? This is a super battery drain isnt it? I read through the manual on how to turn it off and there is a switch by holding the FN key and pressing the * above the numlock pad numbers.

The thing is the FN works perfectly on all other function keys EXCEPT the ones near the numlock pad keys (right side of keyboard). The FN and / button is suppose to bring up the control panel for power settings, finger print stuff I think and definitely the backlit keyboard options (change colour, turn off etc) but this key also does not work. Same with increasing or decreasing the brightness of the backlit keyboard FN - and FN +.

I thought maybe they forgot to install the drivers and put the drivers CD in and anything i try to do when the drivers application opens gives me the error:

WRONG OS

I got the wrong driver disc for the wrong operating system?

Anyone know a website where i can find drivers or how i can configure / turn off backlit keyboard? Its draining battery super fast

I'm not sure on the issue myself as I don't have experience in this area - but any drivers are usually found on the manufacturer's website. A quick Google should help - or if you could stick the make and model up here someone else could try help.
