Optimus VII S - DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE bsod

I ordered the Optimus VII S (next day laptop) on friday, it arrived on monday morning and I've been having this problem consistently. It happens when I try to run Sims 3 just before it finishes loading in a game, after some research I'm aware its caused by an issue with windows 10 and nvidia drivers and isn't a fault with the laptop or pcspecialist. I've tried reverting back to the 362 drivers as some research suggest that some users are finding these drivers more stable and resolving the problem. Sadly it just happened again. Should I try other older drivers if so which one or should I revert to windows 8.1 (I have a spare copy) for the time being? Or is there some other fix (if its more complicated than changing drivers or the os I'll need through instrructions as I'm not that tech savvy).

I just want to play sims :(

Thanks

I had the exact problem.

>>Here's my thread where RMA was requested and it was resolved.<<

Basically they updated my BIOS. You can do this too but please email PCS first before doing anything and they will give you the password to unlock the zip file for the BIOS update.

You should be able to find the update in your Downloads section on the left panel (where you would normally download your drivers from) after you've signed in on PCS site.

I don't know how they work and I might be wrong here but there's a chance that the one-day build systems might not have been updated since they were built.

One particular thing to note is that when you boot up the system the logo should look like this after the update has been applied:
