Opinions on a 'Gaming on Max settings' PC while streaming as well as Video Editing.

Hello,

I'm looking to buy new PC for the purpose of Gaming on max settings for all games. I want to be able to stream these games at the same time. I also do tons of video editing in Premiere Pro/After effects/Photoshop. My budget is £2500 and I want the PC to be a solid build for quite a few years.

Is this build appropriate for everything mentioned above?
Cheers!

@TaylorMcDonald rather than posting a screenshot can you post the specs via the post to forums link (just below where your picture was cut off!) and include the hyperlink at the bottom of the text that button creates.

The M.2 NVMe would make a significant difference. The memory is more questionable I would say. I think AMD processors are more sensitive to higher RAM speeds.

Thanks for the recomendation! Just 2 questions since I'm not the best with PC specs (My last build was a mid range PC in 2014).

- Is the more expensive case for the purpose of better cooling?
- Why is 2 x 500gb SSD and a 2TB HDD better than 1 x 500GB SSD and a 2TB SSD?

I would bump the cache drive down to the 250GB 980 Pro. It'll save a few quid and will have a fine capacity for a cache drive.

As suggested the main use is for when working with large, dense, video files (4k video) and effects. This combo uses a lot of RAM and rather than spending a fortune on 128GB of RAM you simply add a fast cache drive. You want it as a separate drive so that it has it's own I/O channel and you want to have it pretty fast as it'll be the over spill for the RAM. RAM will always be miles faster than the drive but every little helps. When your project buffer eats up all the RAM it'll start to cache to the drive. When previewing a project, or etc, without a cache drive you may get stutters or have to wait on it buffering each segment, with a cache drive it should dramatically reduce this experience if not negate it all together (loads of factors need to be considered).

Whether this is worthwhile all depends on how much you would utilise the cache drive and how important having everything running quickly is to your productivity.

Thank you all for the feedback so far! I've learned a lot today so it's appreciated. I think I'll follow up with that M.2 cache SSD - it would be extremely useful in my new PC and just what I need to eliminate problems I'm having right now while editing!
