The problem with Apple, and why I will never buy Apple products, is that it's a deliberately closed system. It's nothing but a cartel designed to winkle as much money from it's devotees as it can.
And it’s embedded on the board, which is criminal and completely unnecessary. They could have the same footprint in a proprietary format so you’d still need to buy it from apple, but these days it could easily be the size of a large stamp.
