One fan slow on start up/Front fan removal

Okay thank you. With that case how is the 3 fan placement if I was to get a h100i ? Assume the h100i would sit at the top of the case and the Lian li fans sit facing on the back of the case ?

Think I'll purchase the fans and get the case in a few days hopefully. Then work on getting a PSU and h100i.

Then get a PCIe SSD.

I'm using a 1440p ultra wide lg monitor 3440x1440p. Along with a 27inch 1440p lg monitor. I assumed this likely why my PC is putting out some heat.
You would normally have the 3 fans on the side mount on these cases, the pull air from the secondary compartment through the motherboard compartment out the rear. Having one extraction fan on the rear of the case would be good.

You'd also have the cooler fans on the roof plus the GPU fans providing flow in the main compartment.

They're a very different airflow design to a standard case.

Yeah makes sense. Watched some builds with the case and looks really nice.

Alot of them have 3 fans laying on the bottom of the case, is the case still viable without this ? As the GPU fans will point towards the bottom of the case but the radiator and fans are at the top ?

Sounds like it would be best for me to get Lian li 3 fan cooler or a h100i at the top pushing air out. Have the 3 fans pulling from second compartment, 3 at bottom pulling in then 1 120 fan at the back pushing air out ?

I will need to see what extraction fan would be ideal but guess any 120 fan will do the job.

I'd say that was overkill, too many fans actually destroys airflow, doesn't help it.

Normally one on extraction, two / three on the cooler on the roof as extraction, 3 on the side venting in from the secondary compartment.

That makes sense and more in budget tbh.

I am finding it hard to find TXM model PSUs, is there much difference between it and something like an RM model ?

RM is better, RMx better still

A Corsair Shift is the top tier, but make sure it will fit the case as they're a new format that don't fit all cases.

Okay thanks.

Think I am going to order the below and then re-build. Then a PSU after along with PCIe SSD I think once I can.

I am assume the CORSAIR 650W VS SERIES will work fine looking at the dimensions for the time being OR will need more power due to the cooler ?

I wouldn't mix fan types, stick to one brand and model otherwise you get countless compatibility issues.

I only listed the Lian Li's as they met your budget, but if you've got more cash available, the Corsair fans are generally more universal, but you need an RGB controller on top, either something like a iCue Node which just does RGB or Commander Core XT which does RGB plus fan speed control

The price goes skyward with Corsair stuff.

And no, if you want to stick to xx80 level GPU's (you're due an upgrade soon anyway), you'd need a minimum of 1000w, but preferably 1200W to account for transient spikes.

The Shift series are the new ATX 3 models, and they have transient spike protection built in, with that you could happily go as low as say 850W

What make and model monitor are you pairing this with?

Free the fans, what cooler are you using, as some of the corsair coolers come with the commander core which you can control up to 6 fans with

Okay, I did think that. I have ordered the Lian Li fans already as I like the look of them and the sale.

Potentially this for the rear - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lian-li-uni-al120-addressable-rgb-black-120mm-fan-fg-00s-ll.html

Cooler - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lian...mm-argb-cpu-water-cooler-black-hs-00g-ll.html

I am using an ultra wide 1440p 144hz monitor - LG. Would need to check the exact model.
Along with a 2nd 1440p 27 inch 144hz monitor.

Ok, so yeah, the GPU fits the monitor ok

Those Lian Li Coolers are actually extremely good, I'm pretty set on kitting out the RGB and cooling with Lian Li on my upcoming build, they're FAR cheaper but still with very strong performance.

I have seen some reports of early pump failure, so I'd recommend getting somewhere with a good returns policy just in case, check amazon (not amazon warehouse) as they tend to be very good.

I'll just make you aware of these, price is obviously more, but they're interconnected fans, so don't need cables, massively reduces all the cables in the case, and far simpler to install

I just looked at some videos with them and they do look abit nicer and easier to install. Ive ordered a refund on the others. Id rather go abit more and future proof my PC at this point.

I think I will end up ordering - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lian...20mm-fan-triple-pack-with-cont-fg-011-ll.html

Will continue to look at the cooling and hopefully I can get the case in the sale before it ends, If not I will wait and get a PSU in the meantime. Once I have all the bits then do a re-build.

Really appreciate all the help. May end up with another post if I need anymore help or questions about hardware compatibly.

That's the way I'd do it, with the cooler fans and those 3 fans, that will do you for a while until you can get some more at a later date, the general room inside that case means airflow is far more natural flow through. And you'll get much better temps on both CPU and GPU in that case as it is, the other one would have been an absolute furnace.

And I had another thought about the 3 at the bottom, you could do that but leave out the rear exhaust fan, then you'd have the airflow going upwards through the gpu and extracted through the roof, and the side fans would naturally join that flow, so yeah, that would be an option if you wanted more RGB bling.

Yeah I hoping so! I think I will go with the rear fan then may change to what you have suggested later on as I can just by 2 more that interlink and then put them at the bottom instead.

didn't realise how many different types of model/version of PSU there are lol. I am so confused looking at them all. Do you not think a 1000w would be enough ? again why are there so few 1200w ones, maybe they just sell out quick ?

If it's an existing ATX 2 PSU, then 1000W will do as a minimum but 1200W would be better. It's late in the generation now.

If it's an ATX 3 PSU like the Shift or something, then 850W should be fine.

Okay cool. Something like this ?

What makes the SHIFT different ? Will it still connect to my existing hardware if this is the newest out ?

Yes, so long as it fits in the case, it fits the same components exactly the same, it's just a new design, far more efficient and has double it's rated wattage as a spike potential to account for transient spikes in modern GPUs.

hm okay I will look into it abit more. Thanks.

PSU just mentions it will be compatible with any PC case that support ATX format and is aleast 210mm. The case says max PSU length: 210 mm. Only thing is PSU: 1x ATX (optional), which I dont know what it means by that.
