Nvidia RTX 3070 review Founders Edition

Ok I have tried reading through this, I am confused as I thought the reviews and benchmarcks for the 3070 would be on the 29th when I believe the release date. so if I am wrong In thinking this is a real review I am sorry for waisting your time all.

From the benchmarks, the 3070 seems a good card for 1440p 144Hz, if you looking for more FPS in demanding games and online titles, there is a point for the 3080, but based of these numbers I have seen in this review, it's looking like a nice little card for most users.

Nope it's real. Nvidia are playing games by lifting the 3070 review embargo the day before AMD's GPU reveal and launching the 3070 the day after the AMD reveal. Trying to make the news story all about them this week. I think Cyberpunk has overshadowed 3070 review day though!

AHH that makes sense, I was a little confused, and couldn't see an "April fools" kind of thing in the artical, I hope it lives up to the benchmarks, lets see how others review it This is a review from Linus Tech Tips

I've got my plan all sorted...

1) Gonna start my half hour lunch break tomorrow at 1.45pm to give me time to get four tabs open on my desktop: Nvidia's website (as I'd ideally like the Founder's Edition), PCS, and another two who shall remain nameless for obvious reasons.

2) Get my credit card and blu-tack it (other sticky products are available) to my monitor.

3) Mashmashmashmashmashmashmashmashmash.

4) Punch the air or punch the screen depending on the outcome.

I did see somewhere that it MAY be 1pm so my emergency contingency plan is to have the same four tabs open on my phone and have a tactical toilet break at 12.58pm. God knows what my colleagues will think if I emerge twenty minutes later weeping.

You mean you haven't got your credit card details memorised and practised to where you can enter it in a fraction of a second?

Remember, all founders edition sales have been moved to Scan, nvidia couldn’t manage the bots and scalpers.

Edit: after actually looking further into this, it does appear to be still direct through nVidia's site.

I used to, it was amazing, and then I went and changed banks and nothing was the same.. and I’m sad!

Yeah, no, I looked into it further and there are no founders cards listed on there, so the person who said they'd moved founders edition sales there from nvidia must have been mistaken.

The only place I can find sales is still direct on nvidia's site.

No worries, FE is just a preference, as long as I get one of any variety (excluding MSI, we don't like them) I'll be happy. I've also just remembered I've got next week off work so if it all works out I'm in for some fun

I'll most likely also be checking in for some advice too if I struggle to get this big bad boy GPU out of the system prior to installing the new one. It's a tight fit in there!
