The other day my cat hijacked a thread so I’ve decided to allow her one of her own. Wherever food and drink is, Noodle is, so I’m just going to post pics of her invading the space of my culinary delights and beverages from time to time.

Yep, it’s periods of staring intently at the offending product, miaowing at it, having a sniff and then back to staring. I’d love to know what’s going on in her tiny little mind.

A brief diversion! As some of you may know, Noodle will be getting a little sister in around a month. She’s lovely and we can’t wait to meet her.
We almost got another cat.
But something didn’t seem right.

If you have been selected as a staff member / care giver by a cat, that is a sign that you are a good person.
We have had cats in the past, but have now been adopted by a family of feral cats. At one point we were supporting 11 regularly, but 5 have wandered off or had something happen to them. The remaining 6 have been neutered and released. Some are very friendly and others are more wary. One is attempting to become a domestic cat.

We went a bit lowbrow tonight and had a McDonald’s tea. It was thoroughly checked over by our resident food critic.
Tonight I made an old classic, corned beef hash. There’s a million different variations of this dish, I prefer to go for a dry cooked one and really let everything crisp up.
It’s one of Mrs Cooper’s favourites and she requests it regularly. As usual we had the health inspector drop by and check it was fit for human consumption.

I’m an ex-chef, Mrs Cooper is French: we’re food people. We’ve been missing our restaurant trips a lot over the past year and we’re in a village where we can’t enjoy the benefits of services such as Deliveroo so she recently had her second lockdown birthday without a visit to a dining...
