Noob help please

Hiya everyone,

Looking for some help evaluating the build I'm looking at. I'm looking for something fast and quiet, I mainly play games like house flipper, cities skyline. Sometimes dip into AAA games but pretty rarely. I would like the option of being able to stream. Current budget is £1500-£1800. I don't know if having two SSD's is better or not? Also I just use my tv to play pc games on currently. Thanks in advance for any advice

This would be where I mention the Inferno L2 review build, but unfortunately the case in is out of stock until next month and by the time that's back it's entirely possible something else in the build will be out of stock. You can't change the internals of it but it's pretty much a straight upgrade over what you've got here, and it's cheaper because of the review discount.

Going back to basics, can you tell us what your budget is, what resolution and refresh rate your display is, and if you'll be using your computer for anything besides gaming?

Budget is £1500-1800

I am using a TV as an output connected through HDMI 1080p 60hz (due to lack of space in house atm) I would consider a monitor upgrade in the future.

Pretty much exclusively gaming, a few Microsoft Office docs buts nothing requiring any real power.

This is a tricky one because your budget is at the level where you could get a good system for 1440p 144Hz including a monitor, but from what you've said buying a monitor right now isn't on the cards.

The 2060S is what would be recommended for a 1440p 60Hz build, so it's a lot more than you need right now. It's probably not worth getting one unless you expect to get a 1440p monitor in the next couple of months - it's expected that Nvidia will be announcing the RTX 3000 series sometime around August, and those cards will give you better performance for the price.

What you could do is something like the build below. This should suit you now, and when you've got space for a new monitor buy that and an upgraded graphics card at the same time. It's not a budget build but it is fairly low on frills to give your monitor/GPU fund a good start. If you'd rather add some more upgrades to it (like the RGB RAM from your original build - hadn't noticed that or I would have kept it in!) then feel free.
