No RTX 2070 for Nova?

I was going to order the Nova laptop today and while I was going through the setup I realised that the RTX 2070 is not available any more on this model although it is available on other models. Why is that? I want the Ryzen processor not an Intel one. I was checking it the day before and it was there... Today is gone... Any solutions?

The RTX 2070 in the Nova, from memory is a completely different board compared to the "other" GPU's fitted to laptops. It might be because they have withdrawn them due to no longer receiving stock, might be worth asking them by phone and/or Live Chat

Kinda difficult to almost impossible to contact them by phone.. Called a few times but i was number 20 on the waiting list... And am calling from Cyprus... No one is available on the chat

So I've just got the nova with the 2070, ordered a couple of weeks ago so I'm curious as to why it isn't available. When you say other models? you mean other laptops or just general desktops (I'm guessing the laptops have the mobile version)

Laptop GPUs are part of the chassis, they’re not modular cards. With lesser chassis, they’re soldered onto the motherboard which is specific to that laptop model. On higher end laptops and dtr’s sometimes they’re mxm cards but even those are chassis dependent.

So if the manufacturer stops sending them out because they’ve got a new model replacing it or due to Covid manufacturing issues, then PCS will run out of stock.

Do you know by any chance which of the GPU cards listed on the pc specialist site are mobile or desktop versions? I know the max q variants are for laptops. More specific :

Vyper series 15.6” : RTX 2060 (mobile or desktop)?
Vyper series 17.3” : RTX 2070 (mobile or desktop)?
Nova series : RTX 2060 (mobile or desktop)?
Recoil series 15.6” : RTX 2070 super (mobile or desktop)? This is not listed as max q

thanks

All laptops have mobile GPU’s.

Max Q is a low power variant significantly weaker than a normal variant.
