No display. PC beeping.

I'd need to check but there should be. I only got it four months ago.

So is the issue likely the monitor itself and that's why the pc was beeping?

Edit: Still under warranty.
If the monitor is displaying the same error on both the PC and the console, with different cables (if I've read it correctly that you've tried HDMI and DP in different ports on the PC and monitor?), then the only common factor is the monitor.

If you have a Sky/Virgin box, you could try plugging the monitor into that (with the HDMI that's already proven to be working in the Sky/Virgin box) - to confirm it's the monitor.

Just to clarify, I first switched the DP to different ports on the PC and monitor.

Then I disconnected the monitor from the pc entirely, save the power cable and connected it with my console. The monitor looked like in the image earlier.

Replaced the DP cable with the hdmi from the console and used it to connect the monitor to the PC. I got one long beep and two short as well as this on the monitor.

Then I connected the monitor to a blu-ray player using the blu-rays hdmi cable. The screen looked like this.

Okay. The monitor's still under warranty so I'll have to see about getting an RMA for it.

Just to clarify, is that what the beeps mean. That something is wrong with the monitor?
On an Asus motherboard, 1L+3S beeps usually means there's an issue with the GPU...but can also be if the monitor is not sending the correct identification/power-on signal to the computer.

In this case, the monitor is not working with any combination of device/cable, so I'd get that fixed/replaced/working and then see if the beep codes go away.

My PC sometimes beeps simply when the monitor doesn't wake up quick enough...but there is no actual issue with it.

Okay. It's an Asus monitor so, I'll see about getting an RMA from them.

I would try the place you bought it from first, the warranty would normally be with them for the first whatever period and then eventually switches over to the manufacturer.

But a warranty replacement from the store will be significantly quicker than through Asus

It was bought through Amazon from Realtime Distribution

Well, that’s who should contact in the first instance.

If it’s not an Amazon Marketplace purchase, then there may be an automated returns process through Amazon themselves,
Sent for an RMA for the monitor.

Though while the monitor clearly had a problem. When it was connected to the console or blu-ray player, it still displayed the screen (albeit all pixelated and fuzzy) but with the pc it was just black.

Part of me is wondering if that means there's another problem beyond just the monitor.

You can easily test it using another display

1. Power Light is ON, "One short beep" from speaker but nothing shows on monitor
One short beep from the speaker means the device boots normally. Please confirm the monitor is working and correctly connected to the device.

2. Power Light is ON, "No beep" from speaker
Please check that the CPU and memory are installed correctly and there's no oxidation on the connection parts. If there is any oxidation, please try to wipe the oxidized part with an eraser. If it still cannot be turned on properly, please clean it with contact cleaner and re-install.

3. "One long and two short beeps" from speaker
An anomaly is detected in memory. Please confirm that the memory is correctly installed.
Please refer to the Motherboard manual for related instructions about memory.

4. "One long and three short beeps" from speaker
An anomaly is detected in the graphic card. If the graphic card needs an extra power supply, please ensure the power supply can provide enough wattage.

5. "One long and four short beeps" from speaker
An anomaly is detected on CPU Fan Error or CPU Over Temperature Error or CPU Over Voltage Error
Please ensure your CPU and CPU Fan is installed correctly. If it still fails, please enter BIOS to load default BIOS or clear CMOS to try again

Checked and the DRAM light is on. I'll try reseating the RAM again.

Edit: Reseating RAM didn't work. Light still on as well as beeps.

Edit 2: Removed one RAM, same result. Put it back in and removed the other.

Got this screen.

Edit 3: Pc is seemingly working. Only problem is I'm now down one RAM stick.

Edit 4: PC now working with both RAM. Second one wasn't seated properly apparently.
