I am new to PC’s and not really clued up on what each component is and therefore would like some advice on what I should be aiming for on my build. I have been playing around with quotes on PC specialist to see what I can get for my money and I have included my last play around below. I realise that what I put together may not be great but really I am looking for something which will run high end games smoothly with great graphics. Whilst at the same time I will require my PC for work based stuff too such as editing. I also need many of the peripherals however the monitor included would be a secondary monitor to my existing one. My budget is fairly flexible and am happy to spend what it takes to build a PC that will serve me for many years to come. All advice is appreciated.

Ok I've tweaked your storage a bit, assuming that the 2 SSD's were just for general storage I've removed them and replaced with a 2TB HDD as general storage doesn't gain anything from being on a fast drive, I've also changed the 1TB M.2 from the PCS one to the Corsair which is faster.

I've also removed the Norton AV, as the Inbuilt Windows defender is quite adequate and is free

Thank you for the insight and changes. When it comes to monitors, what would be your recommendation? The one included in this build would mostly be used for work based activities, for the best gaming experience what would you suggest for this pc?

well if you were going to be using a duel monitor setup with that or similar for general work stuff and have the budget, I'd change the GPU to a 6800xt and get a samsung Odyssey G5 for gaming on

Yep will be using a dual monitor set up. I reckon it may be best to invest in the 6800xt and game on the Odyssey G5. I’m looking for the gaming to be high end graphics so feel like it would be worth the extra investment, especially as I would be looking for the PC to be high end for an extended period.
