New to PC gaming

Hi all! Merry Christmas!

I'm new to PC gaming and looking to purchase one early next year, only problem is cos I'm so new to PC and do not have a clue what I'm looking at.

Any help would be massively appreciated, my budget is 4 grand, I love playing a variety of games from like Cyberpunk which require high specs to something like FPS shooters like PUBG and Tarkov

What I'm currently looking at is the conquest pro gaming PC.

Thanks in advance!

The new hardware will be announced at CES in the first week of January; I'd suggest to wait a few weeks for a better PC at the same price as now.

Both the AMD GPUs and new 9950X3D CPU, plus Nvidia's new GPU's are confirmed for announcement at CES on the 6th January, so we'll know a lot more about confirmed release dates then.

The 9950X3D we don't have much idea of a release window.

It's been confirmed that Nvidia will be releasing the 7090 down to the 7070 in the first wave, rather than only the 90 and 80 tiers as they normally do. Release dates would normally be within a month or so of the announcement, often even a week or two

AMD GPU's have been confirmed to be limited to the RX9070XT at the top, roughly on par with the 7900GRE (4070ti Super area of performance) at around $650 (4070ti Super is currently just under £800), so from what we know so far, AMD won't even try to compete at the high end.

Thanks guys for the feedback, definitely gonna wait for CES

Intel are broken, and poor performers anyway whilst still being extremely expensive, AMD are by far the superior processors and have been for a while now, it's not just in performance, it's in stability, thermals and power usage, basically all metrics, AMD are just in a another league.

There's no point speccing anything now as it will completely change come January.
