New PC... won't play games (RTX 3060 Ti / Ryzen 5 5600X)

Thing is I must of reinstalled Steam a dozen times over past few weeks; on clean OS installs with no other software on, both on Windows and Linux. Plus I've reinstalled Star Citizen half-a-dozen times and that isn't on Steam (has own installer/launcher). I never change any settings in Steam.

@Martinr36 I have two drives. One for Windows, the other for Linux. Each has its own Steam installation and game installs; nothing shared between them.
You're not getting any write warnings from controlled folder access or anything when installing anything? They should show in your notification area if you are.

Please upload your System and Application logs and your driver list, details on how are here.

Check in the folders C:\Windows\Minidumps and C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports for dump files (.dmp) with a date and time related to the issues you're reporting. Upload those to the cloud with a link to then here.

Hello -- attached zip here (it's less than 1mb). The LiveKernalReports folder was empty. Crash event was around 11:38/39 am today.

Interestingly when I fired-up the machine today, I was able to play Elite Dangerous for what felt like an hour before it crashed. This is the first time I've been able to play a game longer than 2-5 minutes. Mind you, most of that was spent paused trying to figure out keybindings, heh. So I probably had about 15-20 minutes of actual game play. I don't think Elite Dangerous is particularly resource heavy, for the most part.

I've included event log data, system info and driver list.

Many thanks.

Be aware, updating your BIOS without PCS approval will void warranty.

BIOS has no relation to playing games afaik? Only on security of the UEFI shell.

Additionally I have just installed Arma 3. Couple of minutes of game play before crashing. Logs attached, this time there was a LiveKernalReport file.
