Hi I'm after a new pc, a decent one.
I've put this together on the website, but I'm not sure if it's all appropriate, if its overkill, if some things aren't needed etc, etc.
Any help or advice would be appreciated

Heya! Before we're able to help, some info would be great

1) Uses- What will you be using the PC for? Gaming? (if so what games) Streaming? Video editing? Anything else?
2) Monitor- What monitor will be paired up with this PC? Either make and model or resolution and refresh rate would be ideal!
3) Full Spec and configurable link- Despite being boring, it's still important to know all the stuff past the sound card and the configurable link makes it a lot easier to suggest changes!

Once we have this info, we'd be happy to help!

There are some areas that I would immediately address, like the case paired with the CPU youve chosen and also the PSU youve selected...i've a feeling its going to get rather warm and you might be restricting yourself quite a lot with future upgrades with only 750W.
The main thing I need to ask about it what are you going to be using it to do?
Do you have a moniter in mind or already own one?

These will significantly affect they way you spec a machine, so without them its pretty hard to give any real advice as theres no context to it.

Immediate thoughts would be something like this.... you can also then upgrade the GPU should you upgrade the monitor and you'll still have plenty of room on the PSU for future upgrade later on too without having to replace it.

Youll need someone with a little more knowledge of FPS games, from what i've seen Intel are the way to go atm for gaming with whats on the market but I remember someone saying there was a bit of a niche for AMD with 1080p at low resolution... which would be the sort of direction you would take with competitive level FPS games.

Thanks
No worries, One thing I forgot to say is I didnt include an operating system but thats about £120 more so still in budget.
If you have an existing copy of windows its very easy to transfer and will save you money, can find the post on it here:

Ive seen @MrWilson posting to another thread thats also a gaming system looking at FPS games, and he used a AMD CPU in that build....
(I'm being cheeky and making subtle hints for input :p )

I had hoped some others might chip in, because I was concerned I might be leading you down the wrong path with FPS games and chosing Intel (Intel by all accounts is ahead atm, but there was something I saw about AMD and 1080p/low res as I mentioned earlier... I just cant remember exactly what!)

You can try asking the mods, theyre very good and Spyder/Agent/Scott are all pretty frequent on the site.
Also quite a few regulars (you'll see "Valued Contributor" against their profile, they've got a lot of knowledge and experience as well and can give far better insight than myself.

They'll probably get a little annoyed if I try tagging them all in using @ then username... so I wont... but you're new so you'll get away with it :p

With a 2.3k budget I would definitely be thinking 1440p.
Trimmed down the above build and assuming you have a windows license to transfer you can fit a 1440p gaming build in as well as a new 1440p into budget. Good picks include the Asus VG27AQ, the Gigabyte M27Q, and the Dell S2721DGF, with a slightly more premium option being the MSI MAG274QRF-QD, well worth it if you can stretch for it.
