New PC help

Hi folks i am in need of some help.My brother is looking at getting a new computer and he is not really sure on what to upgrade to.

Price Budget is anything up to £4000
Uses are:
.Gaming
.Video editing
.Streaming(Now and again)
.Internet
.Watching Films
.Sony Vegas
More or less Just General Use.

On the case he would like 3 USB ports on the front as well as the audio jacks as he uses quite of a lot of the USB slots up.

For storage space he doesn't really need any apart from a something to put OS on as he as plenty of USB hard drives.

He has a 4k 60hz monitor.

£4k buys you pretty much anything but that's not to say I would recommend spending £4k.

What sort of level of video editing are we talking about here? Hobbyist or does he need it professionally for high end?

I'm going to cobble together a build just now with 4k gaming in mind along with reasonably high end professional use/application.

What monitor is it he has? Do you have a model number? For such a system you really want a high end monitor.

I know you said he has plenty of storage but I've added some extra with the idea that it's as fast as it gets. 500GB for the OS & Programs..... 2 TB for games and Scratch (professional use).

My guess is he won't have any storage options even coming close to this to plug in....

The only significant movement you have would be to increase the CPU to the 3950X (massive overkill) and get a high end 4k monitor (Depending what he already has).

The below will demolish every game and every piece of software you can throw at it.

The monitor is a Phillips 288pl 4k.
Hobby sort of editing not major.
I sort of persuaded him to get rid of the 4k monitor and get a 1440p 144hz as i have one and looks better for games etc.
He said he would also like 32gb ram (Future Proof)

My build above more than has all of that covered. The 32GB of RAM is overkill though, even though I've selected it. I would honestly reconsider and go with 16GB of 3600Mhz RAM..... overall it will serve him better.

32GB does not future proof the system. In fact, spending 4k, or even 8k, doesn't future proof anything. You can bet your bottom dollar that 4k spent now will be outshone by 2k spent in 2 years. It's just how the computer world is.

If he is indeed going for a 1440p 144hz monitor, I would drop to the 2080 Super over the Ti. It's ludicrously expensive and only really aimed at 4k gaming.

I'm not sure if you are serious here or not now? 2x 2080 TI's is a crazy selection to make given the uses.

I'll stand by my original recommendation. Going to just leave you to it as I'm getting the impression you aren't serious. You're making crazy selections with no real thought behind them while dismissing sound advice.
