New PC gpu and cpu underperforming

Hello everyone

I just received my new PC 2 days ago and unfortunately it has problems regarding its performances. Noticed some poor fps in 1440p in a few games such as CODCW and Cyberpunk. After a few benchmarks in 3dmark(Time spy) I got the following results: 11281 for the gpu and 11979 for the cpu on the first benchmark (11380 overall) and the second one is a bit lower then the previous one with the gpu at 10284 points and cpu at 11831 points (10489 points overall). This results were made after reinstalling the drivers for my gpu. I had even worse points on it (around 8000 points) but following the instruction of someone from the support team I uninstalled the drivers of my gpu using a DDU from guru3D site and reintalled them afterwards. After reintalling this drivers I benchmark it again in 3dmark and recveived the points which I previously mentioned. I am not an expert and was thinking to RMA the pc but before that I was curios if you have any ideas of this problem. Any help is appreciated.

This are the links of the benchmarks in Time Spy:

I use a 1440p at the moment(LG 27GLB850-B)

I need to mention that all of my drivers are up to date.

What's the story behind the RAM as I'm sure you aren't actually running only 4GB of 2400MHz on that system

First thing to do is check thermals with Ryzen Master:

Can you also install iCue and make sure the pump is working?

I checked the temperature. Usually the cpu temperature in idle is between 40C and 46C while in full load is 77C. The pump is working fine but usually the Icue is showing me a temperature of 38C idle and 65 in full load. I don't know if that's alright honestly.

The gpu temperatures are usually low 49-50C and 67C full load

I already had 32GB of 3600mhz ram from corsair and it would have been a waste of money to get another pair similar to these in my opinion.

I might be wrong though.

Given that you installed your own ram, is that running at default speeds, or is it actually running at 3600mhz ?

Just looked at your time spy results in more detail.

The clock frequency for your card is 1950mhz and your results show your average clock frequency for the test were 888mhz.

just for comparison when I ran the test for my 6700xt , clock frequency was reported as 2478mhz and average clock frequency was 2388mhz.

so to me that would suggest either an issue with the temp of your gpu, so it's performance is being throttled under load, a setting is disabled that shouldn't be within the gpu drivers, thus restricting performance, or else the card itself is faulty.

perhaps one of our posters with more experience regarding graphics cards will be able to offer more detailed constructive advice from the findings above

Think you hit the jackpot there what is your card temperatures on idle ?

Just seen that OP posted about temperatures earlier.

50c seems to be a frequent reference for idling on that card after doing an internet search, although have also read a lot of posts on other forums saying that they get between 25 -35c on idle.

However no matter what idle temp has been posted, the difference when under full load seems to be an increase of 30c +. Thus an increase of only 18c degrees from idle to full load seems strange.

I'm wondering if its a fan profile issue within the driver software, with the fans set to low, no matter what the load, thus the card is throttled.

If the OP sets his gpu fans to maximum using MSI afterburner, as well as setting all his case fans to 100% performance and runs the benchmark test again, just to see if there is any difference. Obviously it will be noisy during the test but may help point us in a direction or at least discount one potential issue

Again I'm just throwing ideas out with no real experience, just in the hope it may jog someone else's memory for a more in detail explanation or solution

I need to correct myself. Instead of 49 I wanted to say 40. So usually it is between 40-50 degrees on idle. The temperature varies oddly. During a game or a benchmark thr gpu fans are running at 100% and keeps the temperature at 65-67 degrees. I haven't seen it going up over 67°C yet. I am using Firestorm app from zotac and from my understanding the gpu fans were supposed to be at 100% if the temperature goes over 85°C.

I once again checked the bios and noticed that the version I am using is 2311 which is an older one from October last year. If I am messing around with the bios update will I loose my warranty? I think I missed some information from terms. Also I know that if I would make a bios update I would probably get a slightly better improvement on my cpu but not so sure about the gpu.

Yes, don’t update BIOS without speaking with PCS as that will void it.

But it seems like a GPU issue rather than CPU so that’s unlikely to be the cause.

Have you changed any settings in firestorm?

I haven't touch the settings yet. I am a bit scarred that I might be messsing something up in there having little to none knowledge. I tried to inform myself online but there are few threads regarding this issue. The only thing I checked in the app was the fans curves

Just to confirm, where did you get the GPU drivers from when you reinstalled?

What resolution and refresh rate monitor are you using?

Guided by the support team I reinstalled them for Nvidia Geforce Experience. First time I installed all of my drivers I did it manually from their official site.

My refresh rate is 144hz in 1440p. I was planning on geting the new 27gp950 4k monitor from lg but because of what is going on with my pc I have to postpone it

I would uninstall gpu drivers again with ddu, but then don’t install them through GeForce experience, actually manually download the installer from nvidia, and when installing, do a custom install and leave out the audio drivers.

So I did as you said. Firstly I booted my pc in safe mode so I could uninstall the drivers using DDU. After that I restarted it again and installed the nvidia drivers manually from their site and unchecked the audio drivers. Unfortunately there were no changes in performance
