Thank you for the suggestions. Perhaps it makes more sense to ask to compare two builds with similar budgets and the requirements are still for video editing (4K quality or under), photoshop work and everyday usage (minimal gaming)

I wouldn’t choose either of this, as they’re both on 2 generation old CPUs and end of life platforms.

The current AMD multi-core consumer-grade monster is the 9950X, but the 7950X (about 30% faster than the 5950X) uses the same platform but is cheaper as the 9950X has only just been released.

You also don’t need a sound card as most motherboards have 5.1 or 7.1 audio included.

If the Intel CPU's were a horse, they'd have been taken out back and shot by now. Please do yourself a favour and don't waste your money like so many before you that are now having issues. Just go with AMD.

Just to confirm, you already have the ROG Strix XG43UQ monitor? And your budget is still £2,300-£2,500?

Slightly over budget, but it's the closest I could get.

Depending on whether you already have external storage, you could drop the second SSD down to the 1TB version, which would take the total down to £2,508.

Thank you, all, for the very useful comments. I will go along with your suggestions, Scoped Badger. To answer your question, I haven` t got the ROG Strix XG43UQ monitor yet, but I am looking for a 40"+ monitor (not superwide one because for work purposes I need to keep the 16:9 ratio) and this should fit into the cca £500 budget. Any alternative suggestions on the monitor front would be greatly appreciated, too. Thank you

The problem with big IPS monitors (besides the LG being a multimedia 60Hz screen) is the lack of dimming zones, so the brightness/colours can appear different across the panel. Also the ROG and G-Master are VA panels, so whilst you'll get better contrast you also have worse off-straight viewing angles.

Another option may be a 42" OLED as you'll get 120Hz, as well as per pixel dimming, but you depending on your type of work it may not be the best for productivity due to less sharp text rendering.
