If you could let us know what you're planning on using it for, we could give useful comments/advice.
I'm presuming its not for gaming.

Sorry for not explaining its use. I mainly wanted a small pc to use as a sort of working from home option in my current job which only involves using Microsoft outlook, excel, word, an online recruitment database which is around 4tb big, and the internet (using as many as 20+ tabs at once) as I am a Recruitment Consultant. I needed a fast pc, that could handle lots of multitasking. Do you think this is overkill or the right choice of parts I selected?

I3 + 8gb ram should be plenty for your intended use. You don't need the dedicated gpu either

I updated the graphics card to gtx 650 and psu to 450w as I will prob use it to play some games as well. Do you think this set up will keep my new pc running games well?

The gtx 650 is an entry level gpu, depends on what games you wish to play. As I indicated before an i7 seems overkill for your intended use, if you wish to use it for gaming I would suggest an i5 + a better gpu like the gtx 750 ti and a better case.

There isn't much point even putting the 610 GPU in there, it's hardly going to do anything. Only worthwhile if you put something in like a 750ti or above. Also, as keynes has said, the i7 is overkill, go for an i5 and it'll still be overkill for the intended use but will future proof it for a bit.

I wouldn't go lower than an i5, as your processor is going to be more important to you than the GPU (for your intended use). It sounds like processing power should be your main focus for potentially huge excel worksheets and databases with mass lookups, ifstatements, calculations, and macros, especially as you are going to want to multi-task smoothly with other programs and databases running at the same time. 8GB of RAM will be enough. The SSD is a very nice choice considering the line of work you are in.

EDIT: I just read that you want to be able to play games on your machine too. Definitely put some cash into a better GPU as Keynes suggests.

Thanks Guys.

Out of curiosity if I downgrade the graphics card to just the integrated graphics on the motherboard, will that be sufficient for watching 1080p movies?

Looks good ... what do you think?

Same advice as before, you don't need an i7. If you are planning to do some gaming you could get a stronger gpu like the R9-270. The case you selected is not very good in terms of cooling.

Keynes if you had a budget of £1,100 to build an office pc with windows home and business, a 22in monitor, keyboard and mouse, what would you choose in the custom window of intel home & office section?

There's no need to get the i7 for your intended use, just get the i5 as it'll save you some money and you won't use the full potential of the i7 anyway. Use the extra money for a better warranty or better fast track?
