Hi there,

5 short beeps (assuming they're short) indicate a CPU error. I'd recommend phoning PC Specialist as soon as you can today to discuss it with them.

It 'could' be something as simple as re-seating the CPU and that might be something you're comfortable doing, but I wouldn't recommend doing anything without speaking to PCS first.

They will most likely need to book the system in for RMA unfortunately.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Weirdly I plugged it into a different monitor and it booted up no problem! Have now put it back into the previous monitor and working fine on there too!

Thanks again

Worth checking temps with hwmonitor just to make sure it’s ok.

Hope your problem doesn't resurface EQDNB. It's strange how trying it with a different monitor rectified the problem when you plugged the original monitor back in?

Just downloaded hwmonitor really helpful !!! I use to use Core Temp but this software is so much more detailed!
Thanks Spydertracks.

I would still open up the case and ensure that everything is fully home and as it should be. Stuff does sometimes come loose in transit...
