New pc after many years, opinions?

After my old potato pc took a lethal tumble when moving house in 2019, I put off getting a new one due to covid sent prices haywire. I now have a nice little amount saved up and am thinking about the below build.

It would be for gaming (things like cyberpunk etc. no streaming) and maybe a little image editing. I would also really appreciate it if you could recommend a monitor, because mine died in the same incident that killed my old pc. I could theoretically go up to £700 on a monitor but I'd like it to be less.

Oh if there's a better airflow case feel free to change it, not bothered about the rgb

Honestly it looks pretty faultless to me. I think the graphics card may be overkill depending on what monitor you get. For your budget I'd be inclined to go for something QD-OLED, probably the Alienware AW3423DWF, currently £740. If you go for a lesser monitor, there probably isn't much point spending that much on the 4070 Ti Super.

That goes about £100 in total over your budget. (I do think you could get Office without spending £140 upfront on it, but it's not a world I know much about -- I just pay my monthly subscription and accept what might be poor value!)

The case is great if that's the design you want. The Fractal North is also a really good bet and looks really elegant.

If I downgraded to the 4070 ti or super, would it be better to go for a different motherboard?

The graphics card and motherboard don't have anything significant to do with each other. The motherboard is ideal for that CPU and that's all that really matters.

I wouldn't take the 4070 Ti instead of the Super. The cost difference is tiny: go for the Super. I'm just saying it could be a waste unless you got a very good monitor!

Otherwise, looks ideal to me.

If you're going for that monitor and you can stretch to it, I'd suggest the 4070 Ti Super as the best option. If not, the 4070 Super will do a very decent job.
