New laptop advice

Hello everyone,

The time has come; it sounds like a Midnight Oil's song :)

A brief history of my computer's life:
My laptop, the one I'm typing on now and that needs to be replaced, is an ASUS N76VZ (i7 3610QM, 8GB DD3 SODIMM, NVIDIA GT 650M, 17" 60Hz 1080p) bought in september 2013
7 years ago, it was a top level laptop
but, it only had 8GB DDR3 SODIMM, I replaced them with 16GB HyperX,
twice 1TB 5400rpm SATA HDD replaced by a SAMSUNG 840 PRO 512GB and a CRUCIAL M500 960GB,
I also bought a second AC adapter and I've done it well because one of them died 3 years ago
with all these changes, it costed to me about 1900€
The preceding laptop was an ACER Aspire, it lasted 4 years with no change (about 1350€)
Before these, I made powerful desktop configs myself, till I remember since 1989 (up to 3000€/PC, keyboards, mice and monitors not included),
and even before I owned a Sinclair QL  with a 640KB Trump Card, Cumana 3"1/2 double disks drive, QL monitor and QL printer (I loved to program in assembler on this computer).
I'm on electronic networks (fidonet,...) since 1992 and internet since 1995, an ibm.net trial was included in the OS/2 Warp 3 box (access thru a 0800 number), I was animator and moderator of various groups on these electronic networks.
English is not my mother tongue as lot of people on this global PCS forum because local PCS forums are (almost) empty.
I also own a MacBook Pro 15" Retina to be changed when macOS will not support it anymore.

Why am I replacing my laptop?
The keyboard is dying, DFGHJKL keys sometimes/often do not respond (the keyboard and maps have been cleaned), Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting/connecting, it is not running anymore at full power despite full cleaning and repasting, some parts of W10 don't work anymore such has the store and all apps based on it, some apps such as NVIDIA Parameters are accessible when they like,... so it is the end for this laptop. Problems are getting worse every week.

Here are the configs I'm interested in, three 17,3" and one 15,6"
I've already compared ASUS, Acer laptops and disqualified them (no RTX, strange keyboard colours on WASD keys, previous gen processors,...)
I have chosen configs based on a MSI so I can compare apples with apples :)
I'm buying a laptop because if I buy a desktop, I'm dead, my wife will kill me

The pro's:
MSI: it's MSI, a valued producer
MSI, CLEVO: Tawainese companies, high quality standards (based on European/US standards)
OptimusPro, Optimus, Defiance: large choice of components
MSI: immediately works out of the box
OptimusPro: choice of CPU core or Ryzen
OptimusPro, Optimus: possibility to insert my SATA drive in it (to be checked)
OptimusPro, Optimus: reviews can be found on internet
MSI: keyboard lights can be selected individually by keys (each key may have a different colour)
MSI, Defiance and OptimusPro: these laptops are really beautiful
MSI: doc already available for everyone on public MSI website
MSI, OptimusPro, Optimus, Defiance: easy access to components, no warranty void if chassis open
Optimus: cheap
Optimus: SoundBlaster sound chipset
Optimus, Defiance: Killer Wi-Fi
Defiance: also available in 15,6"
Optimus: removable battery, as the computer will work 247

The con's:
MSI: no choice of components, they can be replaced at full price with components bought on e-sellers'
OptimusPro: TongFang is a pure Chinese company not supervised by a Tawainese or European/US one, quality may be lower.
OptimusPro: the chassis is a TongFang and as I can read on forums, this TongFang chassis has a lot of problems (keyboard non responding, fans not at full speed, hot temperatures,...)
OptimusPro, Optimus, Defiance: it may have some glitches in the config of W10 such as no Killer Wi-Fi, missing Control Center, missing drivers,... May need to reinstall W10
MSI, Defiance: new laptops, no review available yet
OptimusPro: no doc available, even on integrator's website ...-computer.com/en/support-drivers/products-library/
Optimus: 15,6" screen, my eyes may have problems (yesterday, I configured my son's new 15,6" laptop and my eyes cried)

Additional question: can the Ryzen 7 be an option? I've read articles where lag problems are reported between CPU and chipset especially at high speeds. As there is only 5€ difference in the price between Ryzen and i7, it may be good to buy the best of the best.

Now, I would kindly like to get some advices because I can't make my choice on these, too much quality choices.
The laptop will be used for gaming, research (intensive cpu usage), programming, Photoshop Creative Suite, MS365 Pro
The laptop will be on the power adapter 24/7, the laptop is only switched off 5 hours a week for home maintenance.

Have a nice day,

Maha

Just a note on the 17.3" Optimus XI Pro (TongFang) keyboard: the reviews I was able to find for other laptops with that chassis have a different keyboard to the one pictured on the Optimus XI. They have a mechanical keyboard, whereas I assume the Optimus is (only) a membrane because: 1) it looks totally different when you look at pictures of the Optimus Vs those other builds 2) based on specs that others have posted, it seems PCS explicitly state when the laptop in question has a mechanical board. Obviously the fact it's membrane might make it worse in some ways, but it shouldn't have the same sticky keys and other issues that reviewers of the TongFang have reported elsewhere.

As for fans and thermals, I would say the reviews I've read rate them as merely average rather than outright bad.
