Here you go Spyder.

Hey Spyder. Are you able to reply with your build options by tomorrow morning at 0900? I'll be calling the shop to sort all this out around 1000.

Of course I'm asking very politely. You are a gem on these forums and I'd never think to ask you to quicken your process. 😂😂

But thank you for all of your help.

This is where I'd land. with a couple of notes

The SATA SSD's? What are your use for those? You would never use an SSD as a storage drive as if they fail, they fail instantly, there's no degradation like on an HDD. A 7200RPM HDD is still vastly superior for storage content.

Personally, I'd want a better case, you don't NEED one, but I would prefer something with more room considering the components. I'd be looking at the Meshify 2, Hyte Y60 or Torrent Design sort of area.

You're not going to benefit at all from a 4090, totally wasted for your monitor and usage. Having a GPU overpowered doesn't improve anything as the monitor and applications using hardware acceleration just will never use it, it's just wasting money. No matter if you get the 4090 or the 4080, it will be the first thing needing upgrading anyway, you can't avoid that. The 4080 is still on the very high end of what’s suitable for your needs.

Absolutely perfect Spyder. Thank you. I've changed the case, graphics card, and storage drives per your recommendations.

As a side note. I'm an electronics engineer with an expertise in RF and satellite communications, not computer hardware.

I truly appreciate you and Ekans help in sorting me out with this hardware. I appreciate the support you both have given me in this condensed timeframe.

Absolute pleasure, would love to see pictures when you get it, that's gonna be a stunning system.

One thing I forgot to add

The GPU bracket comes as standard with cards over the 4070ti

The cooler comes pre applied with high quality paste, so no need for the additional, it would actually reduce cooling potential not improve it on the corsair AIOs.

Here you go. Is this right?

The Asus card doesn't perform any better than the standard card, but is a huge premium purely for the branding, it's up to you weather that's worth it. But there's no difference in performance, it's the same nvidia GPU at the heart of any of them.

You've actually chosen a worse PSU, the 1200w Shift is a better unit.

The configurator tells me the 1200W won't work with that case. Can I call PCS tomorrow and they can make it happen?

And a million thanks for saving me some ££££. Very appreciated.

New config.

Ah, that makes sense, in that case no, the 1600W or 1200w standard PSUs will have to do.

The Shift series are a different layout, not all cases support them.

This is so different than what I expected. I learned alot thank you both for all the support.
That particular case, IMHO is an absolute winner, the design pushed the boundaries, although it used the bedrock foundation of the LianLi O11D, it still took it to another level, it's a beautiful design, and would be what I would have chosen too. I'd happily take the trade off of an ATX2 PSU over another case, and either 1200W or 1600W will cover you for any upgrades you want to do during the lifetime anyway, you won't be at all restricted unless NVidia really loses their minds and escalates wattages to ridiculous levels, but I really think government will start putting in mandates to cap power usage in the near future.

I understand your reasoning. The case is very beautiful and the clear walls will give the RGB all the space they need to show through.

I'll take pics when I receive.

Note: I'm not a 25 year old so don't expect some crazy neon room decked with shelves of anime figurines and plushies. 😂

The carpet is normal and the legs of my raising desk is bland. 😂

Fully appreciated, I’m in the same zone
