I think that's the reasoning for the 3600x

Makes perfect sense then :D

I'd be inclined to agree on the cooler. If @thomor does go ahead and buy it, I'd be interested to see some photos of it. I think it's one by ID cooling, but not sure which model.

I think people get the AMD coolers and the Intel coolers confused. The AMD offering is a semi-budget cooler, no doubt, but so are budget aftermarket offerings. The Intel offerings often go directly in the bin.

The aftermarket cooler I got actually has a much bigger heatsink (and slightly bigger fan) than the AMD wraith spire cooler that would come included, so if anything at least there is a good chunk more thermal mass to play with. Maybe you are right though, having been an Intel user for many years I've come to really despise those smaller heatsinks that almost look like they do nothing but harvest dust. Also yes that was the reason for the 3600X, it's literally a free upgrade since I would get that game anyway.

Also I did a bit of googling myself and found out the SX6000 M.2 drive actually IS NVMe, just doesn't include it in the name for whatever reason.

I'll take some pictures once I receive the system, placed the order earlier today. :) Thanks guys for all the help!

I got as far as establishing it was NVMe 1.2 the other day, then got bored and couldn't be bothered to look up what other drives were.

Apparently the 660p and 970 Evo are NVMe 1.3. Perhaps that's has something to do with it..

Or perhaps you need to pay extra royalties to have the NVMe trademark in the name...
