Hey there everyone,
I'm hoping for some advice for the below build for a new desktop. My budget is approx. £2200-2500, and I'm looking to use it for heavy gaming use (Looking to run titles with at least a stable 60FPS at reasonably high to ultra settings) while recording/streaming video content at the same quality to viewers. I require a machine with a graphics card(s) capable of this for currently released games and hopefully future titles, such as the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077.
Currently I haven't had little experience with many titles running over a stable 60FPS so while knowing I'll have more FPS with many older titles, it's not something I'm used to personally.
In regards to a monitor, I currently am using a single 27" 1080p with a 60Hz monitor, though I'll likely use this as a secondary to keep Streamlabs OBS open and invest in a 4k monitor after my desktops purchase for gaming windows and such, though I've yet to consider size and refresh rate.
I've pushed my spending a little on the below build but I want this desktop to last me similarly to my current desktop which, apart from a GPU upgrade to a 1080ti) has worked smoothly for over 5 years. I've half-considered simply keeping my existing 1080ti GPU and installing it into the new desktop to save me some money but part of me wants to have a clear and obvious upgrade.
Right now, I've a small SSD to run windows and some folders but most of my gaming folders are installed on a 2TB HDD so I figured going for a 2TB SSD would be a overall improvement as well. Previously I'd have large uncompressed folders from recording footage via Fraps and therefore required the disk space but I've found using Streamlabs OBS for streaming and rarely needing such a large storage is less of a priority and now just a benefit.
My currently considered spec is:
